Course Description The course is a study of accounting function, its role in society, and the theory that provides the foundation for modern financial reporting. This will include
the development of the accounting profession and its standard-setting bodies. It will also include an understanding of the Philippine Financial Reporting
Standards and how these standards affect financial accounting and reporting for business entities. This will also include detailed discussion of conceptual
framework, presentation of financial statements in accordance with Philippine Accounting Standard (PAS) 1 and 7, events after the reporting period, cash
to accrual accounting and single-entry system, interim financial reporting, operating segments, and related party disclosures.
