The duration of the Master in Finance is 2 years (Master 1 + Master 2) or 1 year (Master 2 only),
depending on your background and latest degree.
A 3-year Bachelor’s Degree or a Licence 3 (at the minimum): You will complete the program in 2 years (M1 + M2).
A 4-year Bachelor’s Degree or a Master Degree (at the minimum): You will complete the program in 1 year (M2).
If the commission board finds that your background is strong but not complete enough in some required aspects, we may
ask you to complete the program in 2 years (M1 + M2) instead in order to build up your strengths and ensure your success.

Depending on your background and latest degree, you will start the program in
M1 and the total duration of the program is 2 years (M1 + M2).

To build up your strength and help you build your foundations, you will begin the program
with a term (T0) of preparatory courses in Finance, Mathematics and Statistics.

AlumnEye, a network of professionals designed to help prepare for
interviews in Investment Banking, Market Finance and Strategy
Consulting, trains students for the selection process of the most

training, taking place at the beginning of the academic year, allows
students to stand out from the thousands of applications, and facilitates

ESSEC FINANCE ALUMNI FORUM in London


The annual Finance London Fair is organized for students from
ESSEC and CentraleSupélec, a leading French Engineering School. It
is a great opportunity to meet recruiters and practitionners of the
financial sector in London. During two days students can share their
professional objectives with stakeholders in this major financial center.

The ESSEC Faculty-Industry Chairs


T he ESSEC - AMUNDI Chair in Asset & Risk Management (in
France) promotes joint research in the areas covered by the Chair
and organizes research seminars on specialized topics. It also
organizes an annual workshop on Asset & Risk Management.

CFA Program Partner


The CFA Institute oversees the international professional
qualification of Chartered Financial Analyst.
Students who wish to pursue career in areas such as mergers and
acquisitions, project financing, structuring, equity analysis, fixed
income analysis, portfolio management or equity sales, have the
opportunity to prepare for the CFA Institute exam during their studies.

Through its partnership with the CFA, Master in Finance students


interested in taking the CFA exams (Level I, II or III) in June are
eligible for a number of scholarships covering the exam fees.

Furthermore, every year, Master in Finance students represent


ESSEC to the CFA Institute Research Challenge. In Feb 2019,
ESSEC won the French final and qualified for the EMEA final.
