Summary

• The Slot-4 Experiential Learning program commenced in


Hyderabad with a series of enlightening industrial visits. Our
itinerary included notable institutions such as ISRO, L&T
Metro's Nagole Office, CMSD Hyderabad, and T-Works.
• These visits provided invaluable insights into the professional
landscape awaiting us as we approach graduation. Observing
the intricate operations and diverse work cultures of these
organizations offered a comprehensive understanding of the
mindset and approach required for success in the technology
sector.
• The program's Pune segment began with an informative visit
to BSNL ZTTC, followed by hands-on Internet of Things (IoT)
workshops conducted by EduGate. We concluded our time in
Pune with an educational tour of this historic city.
• The practical training in IoT was particularly beneficial,
illuminating the technical challenges and implementation
barriers often encountered in real-world scenarios. As IoT
continues to emerge as a significant field globally, these
workshops provided a valuable introduction to its principles
and applications.
• In retrospect, this experiential learning program has been an
exceptional opportunity for students to gain practical
knowledge of the professional world we are about to enter. The
exposure to various industries and hands-on experiences has
been instrumental in bridging the gap between academic
learning and real-world application.
• I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the university
for facilitating this enriching experience. It has undoubtedly
enhanced our understanding of the industry and better prepared

The primary objectives of the experiential learning program were:

• To gain insights into ISRO's accomplishments, global standing, and its role in
space exploration.
• To understand the technologies utilized by ISRO, such as satellite
communication systems.
• To explore career opportunities at ISRO and learn how students can contribute
and grow within the organization.
• To be informed about ISRO's future plans and missions, particularly the
Gaganyaan mission.

Through this program, I achieved the following learning outcomes:


• Developed a comprehensive understanding of ISRO's achievements and its
significant contributions to space science and technology.
• Gained knowledge about the technological advancements in satellite
communication and other space-related systems used by ISRO.

maintaining large-scale data centers. It was a highly engaging experience that

● Recognize the critical role of BSNL in national connectivity and its support for both
urban and rural telecommunication needs.
● Develop an appreciation for the complexities involved in maintaining a robust and

● Gained a further understanding of Network Infrastructur that powers the BSNL


Telecom Services. Observed BSNL Mainframe Servers and Redundancy
Infrastructure like UPS Banks and Transmission Infrastructure.
● Examined the transmission infrastructure and its role in ensuring continuous and
reliable network services.
● Learned about the maintenance and management protocols used to uphold BSNL’s
network efficiency.
● Enhanced practical knowledge of telecom network components and their
interdependencies in real-world scenarios.

● Gain practical knowledge in IoT (Internet of Things) and Embedded C


programming.

● Install and configure the Arduino IDE for programming the ESP32.

microcontroller.
● Installing and configuring the Arduino IDE, along with the necessary dependencies for
ESP32, was a smooth process, thanks to the clear instructions provided by the trainers.
Writing code to integrate and operate these sensors was particularly insightful, as it
allowed us to see the immediate results of our programming efforts.
● The real-time application and troubleshooting of sensor integrations significantly
enhanced my understanding of embedded systems and IoT applications. The
instructors were patient and thorough, ensuring that each participant could follow
along and successfully implement the projects. Overall, the day was highly
educational and provided a solid foundation for further exploration in IoT and
embedded systems programming. I am looking forward to the next sessions to build
upon this knowledge.

ISRO, L&T Metro, CMSD Hyderabad, T-Works, and BSNL ZTTC has been nothing short of
enlightening, showcasing the diverse career paths available in the tech sector.
The practical workshops, particularly in cutting-edge fields like IoT, have equipped us with
essential knowledge and skills that go beyond traditional classroom learning. These hands-on
