Purpose of project:
The organization does not have the clear idea about the various utility lines in the entire
plant for maintenance and tracking it. So the entire project for showing Natural Gas Line,
Compressed Air Line, and LDO Line on AutoCAD software was given by the concerned
authority.

Challenges:
Though there were many challenges faced our team such as color code of utility line in
the entire project. This hindered the observation process of utility lines.

Results:
The project for showing utility lines of entire plant was difficult & challenging task. But
our team with best guidance by concerned authority completed to the best in minimum time. The
entire above mentioned utility lines has been shown in AutoCAD software.

The company specializes in the production of high-strength equipment porcelains for use in SF6
circuit breakers, instrument transformers, condenser bushings, disconnectors and insulators for
the traction system of the Indian Railways, and high-end transmission products up to 765 KV
system voltages.

Project Description
Duration 21th to 27th May.
 Introduction to manufacturing plant.
 Meeting on safety rules and regulation of company with Safety Manager.
 Air, water and gas line visit.
 Screw compressor, extrusion machine, fluid coupling, thermopac, Klin.
 Shaping and boring of insulator blank.
 ETP line and process both primary and secondary.
 Gas line layout sketch.
 Air line started. (Near to compressor)
 Gas line AutoCAD sketch.
 LDO line started.

We started our internship on 21th May. Project work was justified by concerned
authority. Detail about safety was given. Then Mr. Patel gave the information of manufacturing
process, air line and also gas line. We also saw the shaping and turning machine. Maintenance of
fluid coupling and gear box were also observed. Mr. Alok Gupta gave the information about ETP
plant with visit to it. We started observing gas line right from gas station near staff colony gate to
various kiln inside the plant. We also draw the same in rough sketch also in plant layout sketch.
Soon we compiled it with AutoCAD view on software.
Duration 28th May to 4th June.
 Line layout of compressed air @ compressor station.
 Line layout inside the factory compressed air.

We started observing the air line near compressor station also taken the dimensions of
compressor and storage tank. Lines near the storage tank were taken into consideration first.
Then we went inside the plant to plot the same on plant layout. All the line of compressed air
was observed with difficulty because of inappropriate color codes. To overcome the problem
took too much time to plot it.

 LDO line near to DG and some air line correction.
 Find individual compressor near filter press.
 Forklifts maintenance.
 Line layout inside the factory of LDO line all kiln.

Then plotted the same on AutoCAD software.

Other works:

ETP plant (effluent treatment plan):-

Industrial wastewater treatment covers the mechanisms and processes used to treat
wastewater that is produced as a by-product of industrial or commercial activities. After
treatment, the treated industrial wastewater (or effluent) may be reused or released to a sanitary
sewer or to surface water in the environment. Most industries produce some wastewater although
recent trends in the developed world have been to minimize such production or recycle such
wastewater within the production process. However, many industries remain dependent on
processes that produce wastewaters.

 Primary plant-
Primary treatment consists of temporarily holding the sewage in a quiescent basin where
heavy solids can settle to the bottom while oil, grease and lighter solids float to the
surface. The settled and floating materials are removed and the remaining liquid may be
discharged or subjected to secondary treatment.
 Secondary plant-
Secondary treatment removes dissolved and suspended biological matter. Secondary
treatment is typically performed by indigenous, water-borne micro-organisms in a
managed h__________________________tat. Secondary treatment may require a
separation process to remove the micro-organisms from the treated water prior to
discharge.
