Impact of Learning at Home Because of Covid-19

Many people think that online learning will be very enjoyable, but in fact online learning
is not always fun. Online learning is a process of learning or teaching looking for information
and the process of sending information which uses online media as an introduction, some use
Facebook and some use websites on the internet to get material to download. Online learning is
carried out in relation to a number of things namely easy to obtain material, does not need to
travel the distance that can be learned, and that is ongoing at this time is to continue the spread
of covid-19 which can be transmitted very quickly from one person to another, so that learning
is online is also applied as a means of teaching and learning while still implementing covid-19
deployments. At the beginning of online learning, many students survived and learned that
when studying online students did not need to go to campus to sit at home, but what they often
saw was different from what they thought because learning online also helped students to do
well.
Every Activity There is always a perceived impact and the impact felt by students
because studying at home can be both good and bad. The good impact felt by students when
studying online is that students are calmer at home and do not need to make the distance to
travel to campus, online learning will also make students more free to get material. By studying
online at home students will also be more comfortable to access the materials provided by
lecturers, students will be more solitary in a closed room and more focused. Students can also
be more free to learn because they do not have to sit in place but students can also learn while
eating and they are more free because students can learn in their own way either by listening to
music or other things so students can be more calm. If online learning is enjoyed and run well,
students will be able to progress and develop even if only learning from home.
Not only are positive impacts always felt by students and there are not always activities
that only have positive impacts, but there are some negative or negative impacts that are
always felt by students. In my opinion, the things that always bother students are Online Task
where the assignment of this task is not like usual face to face learning face to face, assignments
online are more often done than direct learning time, this becomes a burden for students and
becomes a burden its own curhatan is also for students. In addition, there are some students
who are constrained while studying online due to lack of adequate facilities such as not having
devices such as smartphones and laptops, indeed in an era like now it requires every student to
have electronic devices but does not rule out if there are students who are constrained because
of these things, in addition to geography problems also become obstacles because there are
several regions in Indonesia that have poor network connections so that it becomes one of the
obstacles also for students. Plus there are some students who find it difficult to study material
in PowerPoint or material in Word without any explanation from the lecturer directly or face to
face, because of the internet package constraints, the lecturer only provides the delivery of
material through Powerpoint because the lecturer is also not only teaching just one class but
more than one so that if video call group learning is conducted the lecturer must also need lots
of internet packets and that is one of the obstacles for the lecturer too, so the impact that
students feel is difficult to understand the material without explanation such as physics and
calculus that must require additional explanation from the lecturer not from powerpoint
material. If each class meeting students always get an explanation from the lecturer, students
will better understand and be able to do every task given.
Online learning is one solution that is used so that students can still learn and can dig up
information in order to add to their horizons even in a corona pandemic situation. The method
is done in order to break the chain of corona virus spread, not only helps reduce the spread of
corona, but online learning also has other positive and negative effects on students. The
negative impact is because the lecturer online system usually provides heavier tasks than when
studying face to face, and not necessarily the lessons given by lecturers can be understood by
students and not to mention network problems. And for the last thought, look for a way of
learning that you think is right for you.
