Directions and Rules for Submitting the Project Proposal

Word Limit: 1000-1500

Style:
 Font: Times New Roman, Font size: 12
 Normal, no bold (Bold only the Title of the chapter and parapraph) , no underline,
no italics
 Double space
 Paragraph indentation 0.5, Justified
 You can add photo/graph/ related table (if require)

Deadline for Submission: 24 April, 2024 (No time extension is possible)

Submission Type: Hardcopy (Composed and Printed)

How to Submit:

 It should be submitted in groups of five students from the same department.


 Only a hardcopy should be submitted on behalf of each group
 The class representative will collect all the assignment from the students, submit it to
the class teacher on 24 April, 2024
 Individual or separate submission is not allowed other than CR

STRUCTURE/FORMAT OF YOUR BUSINESS PROPOSAL should be as follows:

1. Title Page

A separate title page (the very first page) of your proposal should contain the
following information-

 Title of the Proposal :


 Name (All group members with full ID) +Level & Term+Batch+
Department/University
 Course Name & Course Code
 To whom you are submitting: Name+ Designation of the Course Teacher+
Department +University
 Date of Submission: 24 April, 2024

2. Table of Contents

If your proposal is long running into 15 or more pages you must add a ‘Table of
content' which basically refers to the chapter’s name divided with page numbers. An
example is given here below :

3. Executive Summary: Summarize your proposal within 100-200 words (very


briefly) so that it helps the reader to understand what is it all about, how and why
you are going to submit it.

4. Statement of the Problem/ Purpose (Word Limit for this whole part depends on
your work starting from minimum 200 words to more…)

In this part include this following parts:


 Need (for submitting this project )
 Rationale/Importance (behind choosing this project)
 States of the problem (what is the problem or urgency to take this project)
 Background history: It is optional but if you think it is important for your
project then write the history in brief how this project idea came to your
mind.

5. Objectives (Word Limit depends on your objective)

To what extent your proposal is going to affect that change should be clearly
specified in this part (is it going to solve/change all the problem or purpose or not?).
The objectives may be stated in terms of short term and long term goals (this project
is for how many days/month/year?)

6. Technical Plan (Word Limit depends on your objective)

How the proposal would solve the problem. The following part should be included
in this part:

 Theoretical principles : what are the principle you should maintain in


this project (such as morally, socially, technically, officially)
 Analytical or Experimental Methods: What should be your method to
complete the project (such as how you will continue the project in
groups/ individually/what is your strategy/ tactics etc.)
 Equipment, instruments and materials: Specify about these that
would be needed and how you are going to utilize them to execute this
proposed project.

**If your proposal is for the production of a new instrument, component or part of a machine,
justify the requirement clearly indicating the technical or operational advantages that would
be received from it.

7. Management Plan (Word Limit depends on your objective)

This part will describes the following:


 The Plan of Action : How you will start and end the project using all of your
equipment, method and people (write in details)
 Facilities Required: Electricity, Gas, internet, Office assistant support etc.
 The personnel and their Responsibility: Who will be responsible for each
work, dividing the work for all (with designation) according to your time
frame of the project
**To establish the personnel's credentials, provide a brief description of their
qualifications, achievements and experiences.

8. Cost Estimate (Word Limit depends on your objective)

The cost estimate (budget of type of costs) parts should include all the amount in
BDT/USD required for the following items required for your project: materials,
equipment, computer item, lab testing, food, Bill for gas/electricity/ internet,
Salaries of personnel, travel, office contingencies and infrastructural facilities (such
as land, building, water, electricity etc.).

** You should first provide a monthly/3 or 6 monthly/Yearly budget and then, also
provide the overall budget to complete the project.

9. Conclusion (Word limit 100-300)

Write the significance of the project and highlight the benefits the client/you/ the
authority will receive if you can successfully run the project.
