I enclose herewith the Accountant General (Accounts & Entitlements
) letter
along with its enclosure received in the reference cited regarding
the Divisional
Accountant Grade Examination to be held in April 2025. The exam
ination will be
conducted in MCQ pattern except for Paper I (Engilish- Essay,
Precies, Draft &
Grammer).
 I request you to obtain the filled in Application forms, from the Assistant /
Superintendent who have rendered not less than 5 years of service as Assistant /
Superintendent as on 01.04.2025 ((i.e) the 1st of the month in which the Examination
is proposed to be held) and also from the Audit Assistant / Audit Superintendent.
A Demand Draft for Rs.500 /- per candidate (in their name) shall be drawn in favour
of The Pay and Accounts Officer (IAD), Chennai-18.
The filled in Application forms along with the Demand Drafts shall be
forwarded to this office on or before 07.03.2025.

Eligible candidates recommended by your department will be permitted to take up the

examination. Hence, it is requested that a list of eligible candidates from your department may be

furnished on or before 13th March 2025 positively. Applications received after 13
March 2025 will not be entertained.

A specimen fonn of application for the DA Grade Examination, April 2025 1s

enclosed. The applications duly filled in by the candidates and recommended by the department
shall be forwarded along with the list of candidates for taking further action in this office.

It may be ensured before forwarding the applications that the eligibility criteria,

prescribed by your Department, in respect of the candidates are fulfilled along with a
certificate that the applicants are bonafide employees of the department and that no
deputationists have applied for the examination.

It may also be ensured that the following points are satisfied at the Department level
before the applications of the eligible candidates are forwarded to this office:

1. Whether the candidate has a fair chance of passing the Examination.

ii. If the official had appeared previously and failed, whether the marks obtained justify
another chance to take up the DA Grade Examination.
111. The candidate has had an opportunity of working in the place of a regular Divisional
Accountant in a Division.
1v. Number of chances do not exceed the limits prescribed by the Department.

It may be noted that the candidates who have already secured 'exemption' in any of the
subjects in the previous DA Grade Examinations, will not be permitted to appear again for the
same paper, for improvement.

An amount of Rs.500/- per candidate, being the reimbursement of cost for conduct of
DA Grade examination, is payable. Hence a Demand Draft@ Rs.500/- per candidate, drawn in
favour of 'The Pay and Accounts Officer (IAD), Chennai - 600018 ', shall also be forwarded
along with the list of candidates and filled in application fonns to "The Senior Accounts Officer
(Administration), O/o the Pr. Accountant General[ A&E], 361 Anna Salai, Chennai 600018.
