WEEKLY WEATHER OUTLOOK


13 to 20 December 2024

Today to Tomorrow (13-14 December), Basilan, Sulu, and Tawi-Tawi will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and
thunderstorms due to Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ). Bicol Region and Quezon will experience mostly cloudy
skies with scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms due to Easterlies. The Northeast(NE) Monsoon will bring cloudy
skies with light rains over Cagayan Valley, Apayao, Kalinga, Mountain Province, and Ifugao while partly cloudy to at
times cloudy skies with isolated light rains over Ilocos Region, Central Luzon, and the rest of Cordillera Administrative
Region(CAR). Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated
rainshowers or thunderstorms.
On Sunday (15 December), The shear line will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms
over Bicol region and Quezon. The Northeast(NE) Monsoon will bring cloudy skies with light rains over Cagayan
Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, and Central Luzon while partly cloudy to at times cloudy skies with isolated
light rains over Ilocos Region. Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with
isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.
On Monday to Wednesday (16-18 December),The shear line will continue to bring cloudy skies with scattered rains
and isolated thunderstorms over Metro Manila, Bicol region, CALABARZON, Marinduque, Romblon, Oriental Mindoro,
Bulacan, Nueva Ecija and Aurora. Due to the formation of a low pressure area(LPA) during this period, Caraga,
Davao Region, Northern Mindanao will be cloudy with scattered to widespread rains and thunderstorms. The
Northeast(NE) Monsoon will bring mostly cloudy skies with light rains over Cagayan Valley and CAR while partly
cloudy to at times cloudy skies with isolated light rains over Ilocos Region and the rest of Central Luzon. The rest of
the archipelago will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with chances of localized rainshowers or thunderstorms.
On Thursday to Friday (19–20 December), MIMAROPA, Bicol region, Visayas, and Mindanao may generally
have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the combined effect of the LPA and the shear line.
The NE monsoon may bring mostly cloudy skies with light rains over Metro Manila, Cagayan Valley, Central Luzon,
Apayao, Rizal, and Laguna while partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over Ilocos region, the rest
of CAR, and the rest of CALABARZON due to the NE monsoon. The rest of the country will experience partly cloudy
to cloudy skies with the possibility of isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.

This weather outlook will be updated should there be significant changes in the forecast scenario through the issuance
of 24-Hour Public Weather Forecasts and Weather Advisories.
