Mechanical interfaces
The motor is designed for flange mounting in horizontal direction ±20° or in vertical direction with shaft downwards.
For fixing the motor in the vehicle frame, there are eight thread holes M10 with a depth of 15 mm on a pitch circle diameter
of 205 mm on the drive end flange (DEF).
The DEF is designed to mount a hydraulic pump with a flange according to SAE J744 101-2 (B). The size of the thread
holes for mounting the pump is M12x19 mm.
The shaft end is designed for a pump shaft according to SAE J744 22-4 (B) with a spline 13T 16/32 DP.

Lifting
There are three thread holes which can be used for lifting by eyebolts. One M8x16 mm at the DEF and two M8x16 mm at
the rear end flange (REF). With 2 eyebolts mounted as shown below, the motor can be lifted with the shaft in horizontal
orientation or in vertical orientation with the shaft towards to the bottom.
AC power interface
The motor is equipped with a terminal box for three shielded single core cables with an outer diameter of 19 to 26 mm (size
of cable gland M32x1,5). The tightening torque of the cable gland nut is 20±2 Nm.
The recommended cable cross section is 95 mm². The size of the fixing screws for the cable lugs is M8 with tightening
torque of 20±2 Nm. The tightening torque of the fixing screws of the terminal box cover is 16,8±0,8Nm.

Cooling connections
Cooling connections are thread holes M18x1,5 with a depth of 18 mm. Inlet and outlet are freely selectable.
Equipotential bonding
For connecting the protective conductor there is a marked thread hole M8 at the REF with a depth of 16 mm. The M8 hole
at the opposite side of the terminal box can also be used alternatively. It is recommended to design the protective earth
acc. IEC 60364-5-54.
Cabling
Routing of signal cables and power cables should be apart from each other to avoid electromagnetic influence on the
signals.
The cables must be fixed in a proper way to avoid improper forces on the connections.
The values shown in the picture below are guide values.
ZF recommends the use of lubricants specially developed for drive splines. The selection of an unsuitable lubricant is
associated with the following risks for the drive spline: reduced service life, increased wear, connection of drive spline and
flange-mounted hydraulic unit that can no longer be separated, increased oxidation and formation of deposits on the
lubricated components.
To minimize the listed risks, when selecting the lubricant, it must be ensured that it has the EP high-pressure properties in
addition to good corrosion and wear protection, protection against washing out by water, in order to ensure good
lubrication even at high pressures. To ensure optimal lubrication, the surfaces of the components to be lubricated must be
cleaned prior to application in accordance with the lubricants manufacturer's recommendation.
