READING COMPREHENSION:

Read about John. Underline the simple past verbs.

Yesterday was a busy day. I woke up at 5 o’clock. I took a bath, and then I ate
my breakfast. I didn’t prepare my breakfast; my mother did it.

After I finished eating my breakfast, I started my car, and I drove to work. There
was a lot of traffic. It took me about two hours to get to work.

When I finally arrived to work, I had to walk for a block because I didn’t find
parking near my job.

At work, I did many things. I filed some reports, answered some phone calls, and
attended many customers.

I arrived home at 8:30. I didn’t eat dinner because I was too tired to cook. I
watched TV. I checked my e-mail, and then I finally went to bed.
