12-Desire to help. The physical therapist should have the desire of
helping others especially patients. This requires a good amount of
activity and energy.
13-Emotional State. The physical therapist should adjust and control his
emotional reactions toward patients, i.e. not involve himself in
patient's problems.
14-Humor. Good humor, laughter and cheerfulness are infectious.
Humor cannot be learnt, it is goodness of heart, of patience, of
tolerance and of human kind.
15-The physical therapist should follow the code of ethics of his
profession. Physical therapist should differentiate between clinical
and ethical decision making.
16-Cooperate with team work looking forward for the patients'
beneficences.
17-Ability to change and develop according to the needs of community
and valid advancement.
18-Other qualities; because physical therapists work with patients who
experience pain and frustration, physical therapists should be
compassionate. The field requires an interest in helping people.
What’s more, therapists work with diverse patients in many settings,
from hospitals and outpatient clinics to schools and homes. That calls
for flexibility, adaptability and cultural sensitivity. They must make
ethical decisions about their patients' care and exhibit sound judgement in
stressful situations. Finally, physical stamina (good health) is necessary
because physical therapists are generally on their feet for long periods of time
assisting patients.
