Projects:

1. Connected Car Platform

Role: Test Lead & Architect

Client: AWS Proserv, India
Description:
End-to-end testing of the connected car platform which has 4 major sections API, Data, IoT,
Notification. This solution is designed for a leading Indian automotive customer of AWS Proserv. Car-
related business use cases are tested alongside the different platforms involved. All solutions are
hosted on the AWS cloud with major microservices being used.

Responsibilities:

• Test Plan and Strategy creation for end-to-end project solution

• Create test cases based on the automotive use cases
• Execution of test cases-functional, integration, end to end
• Reviewing the test scenarios written by team members
• Prepare release port and publish it to the management.
• Defect logging in Jira
• Automating the test cases using Python and Pytest framework
• Performance testing of the API’s hosted in AWS cloud against the set KPI’s

2. Arris Wi-Fi routers testing via Surfboard Central App

Role: SQA Lead

Client: CommScope/Arris Ltd., USA
Description:
We test the Wi-Fi products like W21, W31, WC4S, G36, G54 via Surfboard Central app, this is
used by retail users at home. It also provides smart home solutions using IFTTT & AWS.

Responsibilities:
 • Handling new releases and assigning tasks and test cases to team members
• Create test cases based on the feature requirement documents & execution of test cases.
• Reviewing the test scenarios written by team members
• Prepare a test plan and cycles of for regression, sanity, Adhoc, PD retest, MVP testing in Jira
• Prepare release port and publish it to the management.
• On-boarding and validating the products via SBC app in devices
• Testing of Wi-Fi standard features on the products from app
• Running regression automation suites for new releases

Description:
This project is about controller onboarding, alarm generation and event monitoring,
sensor and relay connectivity, on/off controls, timer controls.
Responsibilities:
• Responsible for handling all the QA activities of the project like feature/sprint testing,
and automation testing which includes firmware, HMI, WEB GUI and Mobile App
(android and iOS) testing.
• Creating test strategy, sprint planning, test case writing, test execution and guiding the
team members to achieve delivering a quality product.
• Defect management using Jira and verification of defects post fixes.
• Automation of test cases using Robot framework as per the defined sprint cycles

4. Civacon Asset Mangement-IoT Truck Monitoring System

Role: Test Lead

Client: Civacon- A Dover Corporation company, USA
Description:
This project is about monitoring the trucks carrying highly vulnerable fuels of their loads,
unloads happening correct at proper time, place and tracks the driver’s efficiency in delivering
the fuel at the Gas stations. This solution is mainly for USA region. The whole process is
managed through the Industrial IoT technology with variety of sensors on the truck connected
to the gateway via CAN protocol. Data aggregated from the edge sensors are pushed all the way
to the Azure cloud
Responsibilities:
• Responsible for handling all the QA activities of the project like feature/sprint testing,
regression testing.
 • Creating test strategy, test case writing, execution and guiding the team members to
achieve delivering a quality product
• Involved in sprint planning, communicating with dev and client for successful release of
the product
• Testing for features and bugs in the sprint scope, regression test before the product gets
released to RC environment.
• Validation of the Gateway for the sensor connectivity from the edge, cellular
connectivity, and cloud connectivity testing.
• Cloud platform validation on Azure cloud – Device onboarding, User management, Data,
Event management, Device management
• REST API validation.
• Creation of test data for various data Simulations to the Azure Iot Hub for validation of
event generation and validation of all events.

5. CPI - Common Platform Interface for IoT off the shelf devices

Role: Test Lead

Client: Vodafone Ziggo, Netherlands
Description:
This project deals with creating a IoT communication platform for the IoT end devices
over a network. IoT devices placed at home can be controlled remotely via the network using
the CPI software. CPI offers secure communication through VPN and supports a wide variety of
IoT vendor devices under one umbrella. It also offers home automation services such as safety,
security, geo fencing, Amazon Alexa support, Wellness, Convenience & Sustainability. Solution
can be used both in B2C and B2B sectors.
Responsibilities:
• Responsible for Test Plan and strategy creation, functional Test Case creation &
Execution which includes REST API testing using Postman tool.
• Responsible for creating the entire lab setup staring from setting up the hub and
gateways like the Philips Hub, Insteon Hub till the end smart devices like lights, switches,
outlets, IP cameras, sensors and making the devices communicate through the apps.
• Validation of the Device control and the monitoring operations with variety of the IoT
End devices.
• Validation of the CPI cloud platform for the device onboarding and the device
management.
• Responsible for testing the IoT protocols like MQTT and AMQP working in the product
• Creation of IoT device simulators for performance testing of the IoT devices.
• REST API test Automation using python ‘requests’ library
• Defect logging with appropriate priorities & severities and tracking the same till the
closure.
• Responsible for NFR validations such as Performance, High Availability for the multiple
software components staring from writing the test cases until execution.
 • Involved in End-to-End testing.
• Created the User Acceptance test suite which the customer would be testing pre prod
deployment

6. CMTS – BSR64000(Broadband Service Router)

Role: Senior SQA Engineer

Client: ARRIS/Motorola, USA

Description:
CMTS project deals with BSR64K router. This router is a part of access network and
connected to the cable modems which in turn is connected to customer’s equipment. BSR64K is
DOCSIS 1.0,1.1,2.0&3.0 qualified. It carries data, voice and multimedia traffic. Also does basic
routing process.

Responsibilities:
• Responsible for maual testing of DOCSIS features like Tx+, SNMP.
• Run TCL scripts for L3 protocols like OSPF, RIP & features like policy based routing, ACL.
• Defects are logged using Clearquest.
• Did automation using TCL for Software Licensing feature.
• Following the process activities followed by both TechM and the ARRIS.

Tools & Traffic generators used:

• ClearQuest, SmartBits, IXIA, STC, DOCSIS excentris editor.

7. Cisco OnePk

Role: Software Developer

Client: Cisco, USA

Description:
One Platform Kit (OnePK) is a cross platform API and software development kit that
enables you to develop applications that interacts directly with Cisco networking devices, and
provides the ability to access networking services using a set of controlled APIs that share the
same programming model and style. OnePK applications can be deployed on service
modules/service blades inside a Cisco network device (for example on the ISR G2 Services Ready
Engine (SRE) module) or on a server within the network.

Responsibilities:
• Responsible for developing the Onepk API’s that can be excecuted from TCL platform.
• API’s are coded using C language.
• Coded around 400 API’s from different modules.
• Responsible for doing UT by executing the API’s on TCL platform and passing on the
results to testing team.
 • CVS is used as the version control system for maintaining the source code.
• Was solely responsible for entire project documentation & process using “Doxygen”.
• Following the process activities followed by both TechM and the Cisco.
