Pradhan Mantri Jan-Dhan Yojana (28th August 2014)

•Objective: The plan envisages universal access to banking facilities with at


least one basic banking account for every household, financial literacy,
access to credit, insurance and pension and Overdraft facility. In addition,
the beneficiaries would get RuPay Debit card having inbuilt accident
insurance cover of र 1 lakh.

•Objective: To eliminate open defecation and improve solid waste

under Ministry of Jal Shakti).
•Urban ("SBM - Urban"): Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs.

•Objective: To ensure full immunization of children and pregnant women against Eight vaccine-preventable
diseases. Diphtheria, Whooping Cough, Tetanus, Polio, Measles, severe form of Childhood Tuberculosis and
Hepatitis B and meningitis & pneumonia.

•India's Immunisation Programme, started in 1978 as the 'Expanded Programme of Immunisation' (EPI) by

•Objective: To address the declining child sex ratio and promote the
education and empowerment of the girl child.
•Note : In the population census of 2011, the child sex ratio in India was 919

•Objective: To provide loans up to 10 lakh to non-corporate, non-farm small/micro-
enterprises.
The bank classifies its clients into three categories with corresponding maximum loan
amounts:
Shishu (loans up to INR 50,000)
Kishore (loans above INR 50,000 and up to INR 5 lakhs)
Tarun (loans above INR 5 lakhs and up to INR 10 lakhs)

saltpan lands.

Objective: To conserve and develop wetlands in India. This Capacity Building

Benefit: receive collateral-free credit support of up to ₹1 lakh (first tranche) and ₹2
lakh (second tranche) with a concessional interest rate of 5%.

provide essential infrastructure for a brighter future.

Note: In 1960-61, the Dhebar Commission identified disparities


among Scheduled Tribes, leading to the creation of the
“Primitive Tribal Groups” (PTG) category later renamed as
Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTGs) in 2026.
