Phenomenological Theory

Phenomenological theory pertains to an approach which leads to an individual’s current


experiences from the environment which greatly give an impact to each life, especially in their
field of work. It is important to know how certain phenomena affect the lives of an individual
whether it is a negative or positive experiences. This theory can be used to solidify a support the
experiences of those personnels in a private catholic school which unfortunately deals with the
traumatic experience of sexual harassment. Phenomenological theory can help the researchers
understand the root cause of this issue and how the victims handle this kind of difficult situation.

Critical Theory

Critical theory is an important theory that also needs to be discussed because it has something to
do with history and how it can deliver good critical analysis on what is happening in a certain
situation. The others call this one as a “traditional theory” because it seeks human’s experiences
on slavery, acts if liberalism, influence of colonial rule, and other works to create a world full
which satisfies the need of power. This has something to do with the study about sexual harassment
because it is happening from the ancient times up to this generation. It will surely help how people
understand and how it all started. In addition, from the word itself, critical theory aims to critique
the situation on a certain place or a group of people in on the study of the researchers, it can be
used as a way to analyze the unlawful acts within the vicinity of a private catholic high school
