What is an article ?

Basically, articles are a lot like adjectives. Much the same as adjectives, articles modify
nouns.

noun when we know exactly what we are referring to.

a) We use the for countable and uncountable nouns.

1. The lady we met is her mother.

2. The roses in her garden are lovely.

d) When we mention something for the first time, we use a or an. When we
mention it again, we use the.

states.
