Camera Settings

IP address: type camera IP. If wrong, a flashing exclamation mark appears. If Enter is
hit, the warning window below pops up

Port: camera port number

HTTPS checkbox: set if camera is using HTTPS protocol. (To check which protocol used
by the camera, open a browser window and type https://[IP adress]:[Port
number]/hello. The camera will send a message which contains build time and version
number.)

Username/Password: camera username/password. (default: test/pw)

Update Firmware button: opens a file browser. Search for a file named cnd_[release
number].deb and click Open. At the end of the update process a message window
appears which contains the message: “Camera succesfully updated.”, old and new
build numbers, version numbers and kernel numbers

Test Connection button: checks connection to camera

Start(/Stop) Stream button: switches ON/OFF camera

Reboot Camera: stops stream (if running), then sends a reboot command to the
camera, and opens a console command window and runs ping -a command to
observe camera replies

Get Snapshot button: takes a image snapshot (stops streaming)

Camera Configuration button: opens window below

Camera

 Day/Night Exposure Settings

◦ Expected Brightness: Set expected image brightness for auto exposure

mode, 0–255 (default values: day – 150, night – 40)

◦ Exposure Mode: sets Manual/Auto (default: Auto)

◦ Exposure Time: sets exposure time in microseconds, 1–1000000 (default

value: 30000)

◦ Exposure Time Lower Limit: sets minimum exposure time (in microseconds)
in Auto Exposure Mode

◦ Exposure Time Upper Limit: sets maximum exposure time (in microseconds)
in Auto Exposure Mode

◦ Gain: sets Gain (between 0–36 dB) in Manual Exposure Mode

◦ Gain Upper Limit: sets upper limit of Gain (between 0–36 dB) in Auto
Exposure Mode (default value: 30 dB)

◦ Gamma Correction:

▪ Gamma: sets default Gamma

▪ Look Up Table: sets 255 numbers between 0–255

▪ Mode: sets Gamma based/Look Up Table based

◦ Led:

▪ Enable: sets True/False

▪ Frequency: sets Flash frequency (between 60–150 Hz) in Continuous

mode (default: 60 Hz)

▪ Mode: sets mode

 Sync Flash: sync pulse start with exposure

 Continous: seemingly continuous flashing at the given frequency still

in sync with exposure, maximum duty cycle is 30%, but it depends on
the circumstances, aim for 15% to avoid overheating (default mode)

 Sync Exposure: Led is on through the whole time the shutter is open

 ▪ Pulse Width: sets Flashlamp pulse width in SyncFlashlamp and
Continuous mode

◦ Metering Region: sets metering region in Auto Exposure Mode. Click on the
image to select a starting point and drag the mouse while holding down
mouse button to draw a square shape for metering region.

▪ Height: height of region

▪ Width: width of region

▪ X: distance from top left corner on X axis

▪ Y: distance from top left corner on Y axis

 Day/Night Mode: sets Manual/Auto (default: Auto)

 FPS: sets camera fps between 1–30 (default: 25 frame per seconds)

 Time of Day: manually sets Day/Night Mode

FTP

 Address: FTP server address (default: localhost)

 Enable: sets FTP server True/False (default: true)

 Password: FTP server password

 Path: FTP path on server (default: upload)

 Port: FTP server port (default: 21)

 Username: FTP server username (default: anonymus)

GPIO Settings: port I/O mode

 Default Level: Low/High

 Mode: Input/Output

HTTP Event: Send an HTTP POST to a remote target on input port change.

  Address: HTTP Event target address:port number (default:
http://localhost:9026). Port number can be set in app.config file.

 Enable: sets HTTP Event True/False (default: true)

Network

 Def DNS: Default DNS Server IP

 Def Gateway: Default Gateway IP (default: 192.168.1.1)

 DHCP: sets True/False (default: true)

 IP: IP Address (default: 192.168.1.23)

 Mask: Netmask IP (default: 255.255.255.0)

NTP Settings

 Default Servers: sets True (Use default servers )/False (Use "serverIp" servers )

 ServerIp: List of NTP servers (default: 192.168.1.5, 127.127.1.1)

 Timezone Value: sets timezone (default: Europe/Budapest)

Onvif Enabled: sets True/False

Snapshot

 Quality: sets image snapshot quality

 Resolution: sets image resolution to 640×480,1280×960, 1616×1232,

1920×1080, 2448×2048

Stream

 Quality: sets video quality

 Resolution: sets video resolution to 640×480,1280×960, 1616×1232, 1920×1080,

2448×2048

Trigger

 Delay: delay time for trigger in milliseconds. At a trigger signal wait this much
time before starting to collect after buffer images (default: 0)

 Lockout: lockout time in milliseconds. After a trigger does not send another
sequence of images for this much time (default: 0)

 Mode: sets mode Raising/Falling/Raising and Falling edge (default: 0)

 Port: index of I/O port

 Postbuffer: number of images to collect after the trigger, ~1–8 (default: 4)

 Prebuffer: number of images to collect before the trigger, ~1–8 (default: 4)

 Trigger Activate/De-activate Threshold: sets trigger time in milliseconds

between 1–5000 (default 200)

Zero Conf

 Host Name: Camera name in localhost

Settings take effect after saving.

Get MAC Address button: opens a window with the camera's MAC address in it

Gamma Configuration button: opens window below

Left panel: same settings as Day/Night Exposure Settings above.

Right panel: graphical UI for editing Lookup Table.

Smooth button: flattens Look Up curve.

Send Soft Trigger button: sends manual trigger signal to the camera

Realtime Configuration button: opens window below (start streaming first!)

Encoder Settings – Quality: image quality set between 1–100 (Default value: 80)

Exposure Settings

 Expected Brightness: if Exposure Mode set to AUTO in the camera config file,
Brightness set between limited values

 Exposure Time: sets exposure time in microseconds

 Gain: sets Gain between 0–36 dB

 Gamma Correction: sets Gamma Correction between 0–3

JPEG Quality: image quality set between 1–100. Default value: 80

Set Quality button: once you set JPEG Quality (see above line) hit the Set Quality button

Input State: indicator of Input state

Output State: indicator of Input state

Set Output check button: tests camera's output state till it's on

Save Snapshots and Status
Option for saving snapshots from camera stream.

Save to directory: browse a directory for saving image snapshots

Save Frequency: snapshot saving frequency in seconds

Start(/Stop) Save button: starts/stops saving image snapshot

ANPR
Option for number plate recognition test with the installed ANPR engine.

Result Directory: browse a directory for saving images with numberplates on it

ANPR Timeout: sets number plate search time in milliseconds

Save Results checkbox: check to save ANPR results

Show Unrecognized Results checkbox: check to show unrecognized number plates in the
field at the bottom of the window

Start ANPR button: starts number plate recognition

Status Bar
Status Bar shows the changes during normal operation, like camera day/night mode,
exposure value in microseconds, gain value, reserved RAM and swap space in
kilobytes, CPU usage in percentage, temperature in °C and uptime.
