ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
1. The selection of candidates will be carried out for following categories as per qualitative
requirement:-

Technical) and Maths/Accounts/Book Keeping in Class XII is
mandatory.
(d) Agniveer Simple 10th pass (No stipulation in aggregate percentage but 17 ½ - 21 Yrs
Tradesmen should have scored 33% in five basic subjects).

(e) Agniveer Simple 8th pass (No stipulation in aggregate percentage but 17 ½ - 21 Yrs

Notes.
(a) The Agniveer candidates can apply for any TWO Categories based on their eligibility.
The candidates seeking two options will have to fill up forms of the two categories
separately, appear for two Common Entrance Examinations, pertaining to their choice of
Categories, however, will be required to undergo only one/two Rect Rally (As per discretion
of Army) and Medical Test for the Category meriting higher Physical Fitness Test/Medical
standards. Priority of Categories will be filled up by the candidate during application stage
itself. Final option will be asked post completion of recruitment rally.
(b) Candidates who have appeared in class 10th and class 12th Board Exam and are
awaiting declaration of results are also eligible to apply provided they fulfill all other
Qualification Required. Such candidates, however, shall only be selected when they
produce the original marksheet during the Phase II of recruitment process.
2. Date of Birth: Candidates born between 01 Oct 2004 to 01 April 2008 (both days inclusive) are
eligible to apply.
3. Physical Standards.
(b) Standard For Weight. Weight for height chart will be standard for all
categories of personal. The chart is based on BMI. Only 10% extra weight is permissible
over laid down (ideal) weight.
6. Incentives Available for Various Categories. Bonus marks as follows will be awarded to
eligible candidates :-
(iii) Maximum bonus marks that can be given is 25 Marks even if a candidate qualifies for more
than one type of bonus marks except Agniveer (Technical).
(iv) Maximum bonus marks that can be given to Agniveer (Technical) is 50 Marks if he is
qualified in ITI/Diploma {Serial 6 (h) refers}.
(v) Only ONE son/daughter of Service/Ex-Servicemen/War Widow/ Widow of Ex-servicemen
can avail bonus marks in written examination.
(vi) All original certificates and marksheets including the highest qualification as filled up in the
application form online is to be carried by all above categories at rally site.
(vii) Sports Certificates are valid for TWO YEARS from the first day of Common Entrance
Examination.
7. AGNIVEER will be enrolled in the Indian Army under Indian Army Act 1950 for a period of four
years. AGNIVEER would form a distinct rank in the Indian Army, different from any other existing ranks.
Indian Army is not obliged to retain AGNIVEER beyond the engagement period of four years.
9. Employability. AGNIVEER enrolled under this entry are liable to be assigned any duty in
organizational interest, at the discretion of the Indian Army.
10. Training. On being enrolled, AGNIVEER will be imparted military training based on
requirement of Indian Army.
11. Leave. Grant of leave will be subject to exigencies of Indian Army. The following leave may be
applicable for Agniveer during their engagement period :-
12. Medical and CSD Facilities. For the duration of their engagement period in Indian Army,
AGNIVEER will be entitled for medical facility at Service Hospitals as well as CSD provisions.
13. Pay, Allowances and Allied Benefits. AGNIVEER enrolled under this scheme will be paid an
AGNIVEER package with a fixed yearly increment. In addition, Risk and Hardship Allowances (as
applicable in Indian Army), Dress and Travel Allowances will be paid.
14. Terminal Benefits – Seva Nidhi Package. AGNIVEER will be given onetime ‘Seva Nidhi’
package comprising their monthly contribution with matching contribution by the Government on
completion of their engagement period, as indicated below:-

16. Agniveer Skill Certificate. At the end of engagement period, a detailed Skill-Set Certificate will
be provided to the AGNIVEER highlighting the skills and level of competency acquired by the personnel
during their engagement period.
17. Personnel enrolled under this scheme will not be eligible for Ex-Servicemen Status.
18. Only unmarried candidates will be eligible for enrolment as Agniveers and they must undertake not
to marry during the defined engagement period of four years. Agniveers who marry during the said period
would be released from service. Further, only unmarried Agniveers will be eligible for re-enrolment in
regular cadre as Sepoy/equivalent on selection as currently in vogue.
SEQUENCE OF RECRUITMENT
(a) All candidates to log in to www.joinindianarmy.nic.in, check their eligibility status and create
their profile. Candidates should fill in Highest Educational Qualification during Registration and
Education Qualification mandated as per category applied for during Application stage.
(b) Online Registration (submission of application) will commence from 12 March 2025 to
10 April 2025 (Dates are subject to change and candidates are advised to follow the same on
www.joinindianarmy.nic.in).
(c) Examination Fee. Examination fee of Rs 250/- per Category of application is to be paid by
the candidate for the online examination. The candidate on successfully filling the application will
be directed to HDFC portal through a link on the website. At the HDFC portal, make payment of
Rs 250/- plus Bank charges as applicable. The payment can be made through any of these
payment options available:-
(i) Payment Gateway Facility through Maestro, Master Card, VISA, Rupay Cards
both Credit & Debit of all major Banks.
(ii) Internet banking of HDFC and other Banks.
(iii) UPI
(e) Candidates are required to have an active email & mobile number which will be used for
further communication.
(f) Candidates are required to fill in their correct height (upto millimetre resp) as per category
applied for, region based physical measurement standards, as well as special relaxations in

height and weight as laid out in www.joinindianarmy.nic.in. Candidates who fill wrong height and
weight or produce bogus / unauthorized certificate for seeking relaxation in physical measurement
standards are liable for cancellation of candidature during Phase-II (Recruitment Rally).
(g) Candidates must indicate five choices of the exam centre. All possible effort would be
made to allot exam centre based on choice made by the candidate. Exam centre can be allotted
outside of the choice made by the candidate due to administrative restrictions.
(h) Request for change of exam centre or date of selection test will not be entertained.
(k) Category wise link has been provided on JIA website to enable candidates to practice
online Common Entrance Exam as per their category. All candidates are advised to carry out
practice at least once before appearing for actual Common Entrance Exam.
(l) Animated videos ‘How to Register’ and ‘How to Appear for online Common Entrance Exam’
are available on www.joinindianarmy.nic.in (JIA).
(m) Candidates are advised to upload only recent photograph on JIA website. In case the
photo does not match the face of candidate, the candidate will not be permitted to appear for any
test.
(n) Details about required educational qualification, physical / medical standard are available
on www.joinindianarmy.nic.in (JIA) under Candidates login and it can be accessed without signing
in.
(o) Candidates not reporting for the test on due date & time will not be accommodated on other
dates.
20. Recruitment Process. Recruitment process will be conducted in two phases. Phase I will be
Online Common Entrance Exam at Computer Based Test Centres allotted to the candidate and Phase
2 will be Recruitment Rally by Army Recruiting Offices at Rally Venue.
Phase-I
(a) Candidates to report at the examination centre with colour print out of Admit Card.
Candidates shall be debarred from appearing in online test in case
anomalies/irregularities/incorrect information are observed during initial verification at the
examination venue or at any subsequent stage of selection process. Download Admit Card from
www.joinindianarmy.nic.in (JIA).
(b) Candidates not reporting for the test on due date & time will not be accommodated on other
dates.
(c) Entry gates at exam center will be opened one and a half hour prior to scheduled time of
exams and will close 30 mins prior to time of exam. No candidate will be allowed to enter once the
entrance gate is closed.
(d) Candidates should carry Aadhar Card (as displayed on the Admit Card) as proof) Identity
for both phases of test ie Online CEE, Rect Rally at Medical Test.
(e) No electronic gadgets are permitted at the examination centres. Candidates will undergo
following activities at the exam centre:-

(g) Online test will be objective Multiple Choice Question (MCQ). As per category of application
the candidates would be required to answer 50 questions in one hour or 100 questions in two
hours.
(h) Marking pattern for online test:-
(i) Full marks for every correct answer.
(ii) Nil marks for unattempted question.
(iii) All questions, if attempted, will be considered for evaluation, even if marked for
review.
(j) Typing Test for Agniveer Clerk /Store Keeper Technical. Typing test for candidates
appearing for Agniveer Clerk /Store Keeper Technical will be carried out during the online
Common Entrance Exam wherein 30 words per min (wpm) in English during the test is
desirable. Only those candidates who qualify the typing test will be eligible for call up for
phase-II of recruitment process.
(k) Marks scored by the candidates in Online Common Entrance Exam will be Normalised to
take into account variation in difficulty levels of the question paper across different sessions.
(l) In case any candidate is found using unfair means, the candidate will not be allowed to
complete the test and candidature will be cancelled.
Phase – II
22. Proportionate to the vacancies available candidates would be shortlisted by applying a cut off in
written exam result. The Roll No of the candidates who are in merit will be published on Join Indian Army
website. These candidates will receive a second Admit Card for balance of recruitment process as per
Rally Schedule of Army Recruiting Offices. The Admit Card for Phase II of recruitment process can also
be downloaded online under candidate’s login (profile) on Join Indian Army web portal
https://joinindianarmy.nic.in. (The sequence of Phase II of Recruitment Rally is as per
www.joinindianarmy.nic.in/recruitment). Shortlisted candidates have to report on the stipulated date and
time for phase II at the designated Recruitment Rally venue with following document /certificate in original
alongwith two attested photocopies with them. :-

(ii) Provisional/online education certificate should be certified in ink
signed by the head of the educational institution of concerned
Board/University.
(iii) Candidates with Matric Certificate from Open School should bring
School Leaving Certificate with date of birth and name of parents
countersigned by BEO/DEO.
(iv) List of Education Board recognized by State Governments / UT
administrations is attach as Appendix ‘A’ will only be accepted.
(v) 8th Class pass mark sheet and Transfer Certificate issued by
school (both certificates) should be countersigned by District Inspector of
School/ District Education Officer.
(d) Domicile/ Domicile / Nativity /Permanent Residence Certificate with photograph
Nativity / issued by Tehsildar/ District Magistrate and Sarpanch/ Nagar Sewak
Permanent Certificate (Residence Proof).

(o) Affidavit. Duly signed by candidate on Rs 10/- Non-Judicial Stamp Paper as per
specimen duly attested by Notary will be submitted by candidate at the
Rally Site without fail. Format of affidavit attached as per
Appendix ‘D’. Submission of Affidavit is mandatory to gain entry
into the Rally. Candidates WILL NOT BE PERMITTED to enter the
rally without affidavit.
(p) PAN Card & PAN Card & AADHAR Card are mandatory documents for final enrolment
AADHAR for purpose of Pay & Allowances and other social benefits scheme.

(q) Tattoo (i) Candidates belonging to Tribal communities/from Tribal areas, are
permitted to have permanent body tattoos on any part of the body, as per
existing customs and traditions of the said tribe to which a candidate
belongs. Such candidates will only be permitted on producing the

Note :
(i) The timings for 1.6 km run and the marks assigned to the groups can be changed by the
Indian Army at any stage before the recruitment rally. Please check the timings on Join Indian
Army Website before start of recruitment rally.
(ii) Candidates appearing for Agniveer Technical and Agniveer Clerk /Store Keeper Technical only
need to qualify in all tests.
(b) Physical Measurement Test (At Rally Site). Physical measurement will be carried out
as per the laid down Region based and Category wise Physical standards. Relaxation for
physical measurement will be accepted based on authorized supporting documents.
(c) Adaptability Test. All candidates who qualify the Physical Fitness Test (PFT) &
Physical Measurement Test (PMT) will have to undertake Adaptability Test as per policy in
vogue. Adaptability Test is for selection of candidates who can adapt to the environment
of the Indian Army and are able to adapt to the challenges of military life. Those
candidates who qualify the Adaptability Test will be eligible for Medical examination &
further recruitment process. Those candidate who do not qualify the Adaptability Test will
not be allowed for further participation in recruitment process. Adaptability Test will be
conducted on a Tablet / Mobile phone. It will consist of question answers for which there
is no fixed syllabus.
(i) Medical examination of candidates who qualify in Physical Fitness Test, Physical
Measurement Test and Adaptability Test will be conducted by Army Medical Team at the
Rally site as per Army Medical standards and policy in vogue on the subject issue.
(ii) Candidates declared unfit at the rally site will be given an opportunity for a review
by a Specialist at Military Hospital (MH)/ Base Hospital (BH)/ Command Hospital (CH).
Desirous candidates who wish to avail the opportunity of Review Medical Examination ie
review by specialist will have to report to the designated Military Hospital (MH)/ Base
Hospital (BH)/ Command Hospital (CH). Candidate will be required to report to the MH
/BH/CH on a date fixed by the Medical Officer after conduct of Medical examination at the
rally site. The location of MH/BH/CH will be informed to the candidate through either e-
Mail / SMS by the ARO / Medical Officer.
(iii) The recruitment medical officer and the specialist doctors of Armed Forces are the
final authorities on declaring a candidate fit or unfit during initial medical examination.
Review medical examination and medical examination prior to enrolment. The candidates

shall be governed by Army standards which may be at variance from civil standards.
There is no provision for representation or appeal or re-review after the Review Medical
examination.
(iv) Passing in the medical examination is not a guarantee for employment in Indian
Army.
(v) Candidates are advised in their own interest to undergo medical exam before
coming for selection especially with respect to flat foot, poor vision, deformities
and physical measurements. All are advised to ensure that their ears are free of
wax by getting it cleaned by a doctor prior to the rally.
(vi) If 270 days or more lapse between screening medical at the rally and despatch,
medical will be done again and unfit candidates in this review will not be recruited.
(a) Any candidate who has not received Admit Card for Phase-II, 05 days prior to the
Rally, may approach Army Recruiting Office, Charkhi Dadri for further clarification.
(b) 01 October 2025 will be taken as effective date of determining age eligibility for
candidate. Candidates to produce Birth Certificate/10th Class marksheet at the time of preliminary
document check.
(c) Candidates are required to report at the Rally Site by 0400 hours on their respective
scheduled dates. Candidates reporting after 0600 hours without appropriate justification will not be
permitted to participate in the Rally. Candidate should be clean shaven (Except Sikh
Candidates).
(d) Personal e-mail ID and Mobile Number is MUST. All important messages will be sent to
this e-mail ID/Mobile Number like shortlisted/call letter/joining instruction/result etc. Sharing of
e-mail ID and Mobile Number is not permitted. Remember the User Name and Password for
future use. (ARO will not be responsible for not getting required information if e-mail / Mobile
Number of candidates given is wrong/ changed).
(e) Candidate must carry their AADHAR Card as proof of identity which could be authenticated
biometrically at the Rally Site. Candidates to ensure AADHAR details are matching with the details
mentioned in the documents and the Online Application. Any change in date of birth by candidate
in AADHAR must be supported by Government authorized documents.
(f) Candidate’s Name, Father’s Name, Mother’s Name and Date of Birth (DOB) must be
entered exactly as per Matriculation/10th Class Board Certificate.
(g) Candidate must enter contact details and permanent home address exactly as per
Domicile/Nativity/Permanent Residential Certificate issued by Sub Divisional Magistrate/ District
Magistrate.
(h) Those not in possession of required documents will not be permitted to participate in the
recruitment process.
(j) Touts. Recruitment into the Army is fair and transparent. Candidates are advised not to
pay bribe to anyone for recruitment as it is based purely on merit. Selection process during
recruitment at all stages is automated. Therefore, candidates are advised to be beware of touts as
they cannot help them at any stage. In the past, a number of candidates have been found

victims of touts, fake documents/impersonation and in the bargain have lost their
candidature. Modus operandi/ means used by the touts are as under: -
(i) Issue of fake Physical Fitness Test (PFT) Slips/impersonation during various
stages of rally. Conduct fake recruitment rallies.
(ii) Snatching/taking away original certificates from candidates who have
been declared fit at initial stage and thereafter harassing them.
(iii) Taking away ADMIT CARD from the candidates under plea that they will
follow up their results.
(iv) Giving candidates false assurance of RECRUITMENT as they claim to have
links at appropriate level, thereby winning confidence of candidates.
(v) Once a candidate gets through on his own efforts, touts demand money in
return of the original certificates.
(k) A Grievance Cell will be established at the Rally Site to note and redress any grievances.
(l) Recruitment is purely based on merit depending on available vacancies. Candidates do
not have any right to claim recruitment in Army for merely having passed in recruitment process.
(m) Candidates not in possession of requisite certificates are liable for rejection.
(a) Candidates will be permitted entry into the rally site only on production of Admit
Card in duplicate generated online through the official website www.joinindianarmy.nic.in,
Anyone found with fake Admit Card will be handed over to Civil Police.
(b) Giving/taking bribe, production of bogus/fake certificates and indulging in unfair means is a
criminal offence and liable for punishment under law. Such candidates will be handed over to Civil
Police and their candidature cancelled.
(c) Candidates are advised to check their age & education criteria before participating in
the rally. Candidates found under age/overage and not meeting education criteria will be
disqualified.
(d) Certificates with overwriting and tampering of seals or erasing/alteration of any type in their
certificates / documents will not be accepted.
(e) All documents submitted by the candidates are verified by government agencies
before enrolment into Army. Strong legal action will be taken against individuals submitting
fake documents. Even after recruitment, the service will be terminated if candidates are
found to have produced fake documents or wrong information at the time of
recruitment, despite the number of years of service individual may have rendered.
(f) No compensation for Death/Injury/loss etc during the rally and no travelling
allowance/dearness allowance for journey is admissible. Candidates will participate in the rally at
their own risk and the participation is totally and entirely voluntary. The signing of Indemnity
Bond is a mandatory requirement.
(g) Character certificate without photo attested by certificate issuing authority will be rejected.
(h) Candidates to come for the rally only on the date as per Admit Card. Candidates
should bring pen, handkerchief.
(j) Use of Performance Enhancing Drugs / Contraband Drugs. Use of any kind of
performance enhancing drugs or contraband drug is strictly banned. Any candidate found
in possession of or to have used the same will be debarred from further screening.
(k) Selection is provisional till the candidates report to the allotted Regimental /Corps Training
Centre for training and their enrolment form is filled.

(l) At the rally site, all candidate should report duly shaved (beard, chest hair, axillary hair,
pubic hair and with crew hair cut (except Sikh Candidates), for identification at various stages of
rally process failing which candidate can be barred from participation in recruitment rally.
(m) Candidates may have to present themselves at rally site for two to three times. Candidates
should make arrangements for stay under their own arrangements.
(n) Final Result will be declared on the official website www.joinindianarmy.nic.in. No
separate letter will be sent to the candidate. It is responsibility of candidate to check his result and
report to ARO for despatch formalities.
(o) Footwear. 1.6 Km run may take place on Road/Hard surface due to weather condition.
All candidates are advised to use suitable running footwear (Shoes) for 1.6 Km run and practice
accordingly for the rally.
All information regarding selection / rejection / medical etc will be given only on official
channels ie on website by ARO. Please do not trust unauthorized sources for such
information

Indian Army reserves the right to cancel/amend entire selection process or part of process at any
stage without assigning any reasons.
Candidates found indulging in any type of malpractices/unfair means during the examination shall be
debarred permanently.
The data entered during registration will be final and no changes will be permitted after closure of
Online Application date as given in the first page of the Recruitment Notification. Entry of wrong data
will disqualify the candidature.
