Both of these hex switches are used to configure the node number for the CAN bus interface.

A terminating resistor is integrated in the IF1072 interface module. It is turned on and off with a
switch on the bottom of the housing. An active terminating resistor is indicated by the TERM
LED.
11.6.10 Firmware
The IF1072 module comes with preinstalled firmware. The firmware is also part of the B&R
Automation Runtime operating system for the PLC. If the two versions are different, the
Automation Runtime firmware is loaded to the module.
The latest IF1072 firmware is available automatically by updating your B&R Automation
Runtime.
