First day

Reflecting offirst
on my Workday of Immersion
immersion, I felt a mix of excitement and
nervousness as I stepped into a completely new environment. On my first day of

FEBRUARY 11, 2025

On day two of my immersion, I woke up in the morning at 4:37 because I was ready
to cook for breakfast with Judy Ann and Mike while waiting for the cook to be done. I
went to the CR and dipped, and then all my classmates, and then after eating, we
went to Abellana Farm. It was so tiring because the sun was so very hot.

I wake up early because I'm ready to cook, and then I'm done cooking

On day six I woke up early with Judy because we were the ones cooking to have
food, and after we cooked, we all took turns bathing until we finished. We ate
together, and by 7:30, we started walking to Abellana farm to begin our daily tasks.

On day seven of work immersion week in the morning, we clean the goat and
chicken pens, and we also clean the area and sweep.

On day Eight, I watered the squash and bitter melon we planted, and
the flowers planted at Abellana Farm. We always clean and water the
plants every day.

On day Nine, we were raking the leaves we had gathered, and there
was little left to do because tomorrow marks the end of our immersion.

Rationale
This work immersion portfolio serves as a workbook for students taking
FEBRUARY 21, 2025
work immersion courses/subject in high school. The framework is DepEd
Order No. 30 p. 2017, entitled “guidelines for Deepening work”.

Essentially this workbook facilitates in-depth learning about the world of


work and assessment of student performance while immersed in the work.

Additionally, the objectives of this portfolio include, but are not limited to:

Course Description:
Work immersion is one of the course requirements of the degree. High school students are
expected to immerse themselves in an industry directly related to their postsecondary
goals. Work immersion allows students to be exposed to and familiarize themselves
with a work-related environment relevant to their field of study in order to
enhance their competence. Specifically, students can: (i) Acquire relevant
practical industrial skills under the guidance of industry experts and workers;
(ii)understand the importance and application of the principles and theories taught in
school; (iii) improve technical knowledge and skills; (iv) improved communication and
interpersonal skills; (v) foster good work habits, attitudes, appreciation and respect
for work; These will prepare you to meet the needs and challenges of post-graduation
employment and higher education.
Duties and responsibilities of the learner:
In this course , the learners are expected to:
1. Attend pre and post Immersion activities .
2. Report to the work Immersion partner Institution supervisor during actual Immersion
