This document serves as a standardized script for Worker Tryouts and Soldier Evaluations. All
members of High Command and TMP students are highly recommended to use this script
when hosting their events, effectively allowing them to copy and paste the pre-written
messages.
You may change the script slightly if you wish but all the information you teach must remain the
same or be very similar.

1. WORKER TRYOUT
1.1. INTRODUCTION
Once you have relocated your group of attendees to the rally room, you may begin your
introduction.
Welcome to your Worker Tryout. I will be your host, [Rank] [Username] and you will address
me as “sir”.
During this tryout, you will be evaluated to see if you are fit to serve as a member of our staff.
Workers are tasked with performing labour duties around the facility, such as collecting
corpses and cleaning.
Once you are a worker, you can continue to progress within our ranks and receive further
evaluation to become a soldier.
I will now go over the rules and expectations for this tryout:
I. PTS (Permission to speak) is active during the entire duration of the tryout.
If you wish to speak, you must say “PTS, sir?” or “Permission to speak, sir?”.
III. You must use grammar at all times, proper periods and capitals.
IV. You must follow every order I give you hastily and effectively.
V. You must use staff chat for the entirety of this tryout.
To use staff chat, click on “Staff” above the chat on the top left corner of your screen.
Failure to follow instructions properly will earn you a strike. Once you gain 3 strikes, you will
be dismissed.
But keep in mind that I may dismiss you at any time if I see that you are not worth my time or
resources.
Am I understood?
TIP: If your tryoutees do not use staff chat with full grammar, this is where you start giving
strikes and/or dismissing the ones that you deem cannot be taught. Use “Yes, sir.”
confirmations to cut down the bulk of your incompetent tryoutees.
1.2. FACES
We will now begin the first section of this tryout with faces.
Faces are commands used to control an individual's sense of rotation and direction.
Our staff will help demonstrate them for you so you can better understand them, remember to
pay attention.
Right/Left face is a 90 degree turn from your current orientation to your right/left.
Right/Left incline is a 45 degree turn from your current orientation to your right/left.
About face is a 180 degree turn from your current orientation to your right.
Centre face, turn to the nearest cardinal direction of the host in 90 degree increments.
A wedge is a Ʌ shaped formation behind the issuer. If there is an uneven number of people,
one aligns himself 2 studs behind the host.
There should be no gaps between each person in the wedge, and your shoulder should be
aligned with the shoulder of the person in front.
An SFL is a single file line behind the issuer, with 1.5 studs between each person.
When turning 90 degrees to the left or right, your arm should be barely touching either person
beside you.
You should aim to keep the line as straight as possible, by aligning yourself correctly with the
person in front of you.
An STS is a shoulder-to-shoulder horizontal line in front of the issuer from the right. 1 stud
between each person, 4 studs between each column.
The spacing between each person should be just wide enough to fit my arm.
The Greeting Policy is for greeting all Supreme Ranking members in-game as a form of
respect.
Whenever a Supreme Rank joins the game, say “Greetings, Rank.” in public chat.
Do not greet the SR if they have joined the game before you, are in an active event, or have
been in-game for more than a minute.
Whenever you have a question, comment, or concern, you are expected to go to a Manager.
Do not go to anyone higher ranking than a Manager unless the situation requires you to.
Managers will take your inquiries up the Chain of Command if they are unable to answer them.
This will consist of two simple questions which you will have 30 seconds to answer each one,
let’s begin.
Use :pm to send them the question and then give them 30 seconds to answer. If they fail to
answer the question in time or give you an incorrect answer, that question should be
marked as wrong. They must get 1/2 questions right to pass this section, if they don’t, they
should be dismissed. Write their scores on a notepad to keep track.
Question 1: What is the greeting policy?
:n Once you get in the game hall, STS on the white line.
Similar to “Red Light, Green Light”, when I say “Red Light!” you are to stop and recite a staff
rule, in numerical order.
Once you state all 5 rules, you will start back at the first rule until you successfully make it
across the field.
Before we begin, I will state the staff rules that you must already know by the end of this
tryout.
Say !notepad in whisper and copy the rules there, or you may use a notepad on your device.
You must state the rules using grammar, failure to do so will result in a strike.
Your own wording is acceptable.
Once you're a staff member, you must familiarise yourself with the rest of our rules mentioned
in the Codex. You can access this document upon joining our communications server.
1.7. DEBRIEF
JOB BOARD:
Welcome to the job board, this is where you can select your role as a worker.
The Corpse Collector job allows you to collect bodies and dispose of them in an incinerator.
To collect a body, simply left-click it and the body bag will be added to your inventory.
As a Janitor, your job is to clean piles of trash in the player area, by using left-click.
You may then dump the bag of trash into the bin found on the right side of the side door.
Keep in mind that to do any of these jobs, you have to equip the role from this wall first.
INCINERATOR ROOM:
To burn a corpse, you must equip the body bag and then touch one of the incinerators inside
this room.
You are awarded extra money for each body and trash bag collected and disposed of.
STAFF POSTS:
The blue pads are Worker posts, the yellow pads are Soldier posts, and the red pads are for
Managers and above.
You are required to stand at your post if not carrying out any other duties.
I will now give you time to familiarize yourself with the posts. Let me know once you’re ready
to continue.
As a worker, you are given access to attend Soldier Evaluations. Those who pass this event
will be promoted to “Soldier”.
The requirements are that you must be on PC/Laptop (No mobile users) and you must have a
certain standard of combat ability.
You are expected to perform better in Soldier Evaluations, so you must have good knowledge
of the rules and drill, as well as, acting in a disciplined and professional manner at all times.
You can check for event announcements and extra information through our communications
server, which can be found in the group’s social links.
We have now reached the end of the tryout. Congratulations on passing and welcome to the
staff team.
Keep in mind that failure to comply with the rules and regulations on the staff team may lead
to a demotion.
Are you all in the group? If not, join it now and let me know once you have.
Wedge with your attendees and ensure you use the :track command so their usernames are
clearly displayed. Write them down on a notepad and log your event. You must also make
sure that your attendees join the group, so remind them to do so.
2. SOLDIER EVALUATION
2.1. INTRODUCTION
:slock
Welcome workers to your Soldier Evaluation. I will be your host, [Rank] [Username] and you
will address me as “sir”.
During this event, you will be evaluated to see if you have the necessary experience and skills
to serve as a soldier for the Squid Games.
Soldiers are staff tasked with protecting and ensuring order within the facility, such as
escorting players into games and helping Managers enforce regulations.
I. You are expected to know and comply with every staff rule and act in a disciplined and
competent manner. Any sort of trolling or immaturity will result in dismissal.
II. During this event, you are not required to speak in whisper and can use public chat whilst
using grammar.
III. PTS (Permission to speak) is active throughout the evaluation unless you communicate via
teamchat [/t] during combat rounds.
But keep in mind that I may dismiss you at any time if I see that you are not worth my time or
resources.
Am I understood?
2.2. COMBAT LECTURE
Before we begin the combat evaluation, I will give a short lecture on combat fundamentals and
our rules of engagement.
Combat fundamentals:
1. Movement
- In a gunfight, avoid standing still. Keep your movements unpredictable by jumping and
moving side to side.
- However, avoid spamming jumps, as enemies can predict and hit you more easily.
- Always use 3rd Person (Zoomed out); 1st Person or shift-lock puts you at a disadvantage.
2. Communication
Constant communication with your team gives you an advantage. Call-outs on enemy
locations help surprise and eliminate threats. Using a mic is ideal but not required.
3. Cursor Positioning
Cursor Positioning refers to the act of positioning your cursor on areas where you expect
enemies to be, after they come out of cover, so you can land more shots on them.
4. Popshooting
Popshooting involves shooting while moving in and out of cover to conserve health. To do it
efficiently:
- Randomise when you pop out.
- Control how long you stay out.
- Change how you leave cover (e.g., jumping, walking, spin peeking).
- Vary your position when popping out.
- Shoot just before leaving cover for faster shots.
- Pre-aim to position your cursor on the target.
5. Baiting
Baiting involves tempting the enemy to expose themselves by moving in enticing ways. It’s
most effective when combined with popshotting techniques.
- Eliminate any player or gun dealer that enters restricted areas without permission.
Is this understood?
Soldiers are expected to have a certain standard of combat ability to perform their duties and
ensure the facility's safety effectively.
If you are below that standard, you will not be allowed to continue and you will be removed
from the event.
To give you all a fair opportunity to demonstrate your capabilities, you will partake in 3
different rounds:
The first round will just be a warm-up round, however, in the second and third rounds, you
may be removed from the tryout if you do not meet the requirements.
The outscore will be set to 9, meaning if you die 9 times, you will be out of the round and have
to wait until it concludes.
Your results will be determined by your kills, damage, and heals (So make sure you heal your
teammates).
VC is optional. However, if you do want to use it, the red team will join CT RED and the blue
team will join CT BLUE.
If you wish to communicate with your team in-game, use teamchat [/t]. If you speak out of
teamchat, you will be striked.
Using your guns in the lobby without permission will result in an instant dismissal.
Is this understood?
Let’s begin.
:team me lobby
:respawn others
:respawn others
On the second and third round, you will begin to enforce the requirements:
KDR (Kill-to-Death Ratio): 1:1 (Second round), 1:2 (Third round)
Damage: 1300
Heals: 500
I will now kick those who have failed to meet the standard.
If you haven’t passed, I suggest practising your combat and aim with help from the links in the
#combat-improvement channel on the communications server.
Make sure you reset the stats before starting a new round “:rs all”.
Do NOT reset the stats of the final round as you are required to take a screenshot of it.
Rifle drill can be done with any of the standardly used gun systems.
“Port arms.” - Lower your rifle at a resting position by pressing ‘F’ while your rifle is at Present.
2.5. DEBRIEF
For the final section of this evaluation, I will explain how to achieve your next promotion.
As a soldier, you are given access to the TMP channels in the communications server.
TMP stands for “The Management Program”. It is a program for Soldiers who wish to progress
further and become Managers.
It consists of 4 phases. Phases 1-2 are optional but contain useful information regarding
hosting and performing your duties as a Manager.
Phase 1 teaches you how to host a Worker Tryout and Soldier Evaluation.
Phases 3 and 4 are mandatory if you wish to become a fully fledged Manager and they are
used to evaluate your hosting ability in tryouts and evaluations.
Upon passing phase 3, you will become a “Manager on Trial”, in which case you will have to
pass a phase 4 within 60 days to complete your trial period.
The entirety of High Command and Supreme Command will also review your administrative
performance.
The #tmp-directory channel contains all the information about TMP including guides and
regulations.
Make sure to read the latest announcements in #tmp-notifier since it may mention changes in
the hosting system.
Once in-game, if you need to remind yourself of the staff posts again, look at the post board or
the pads in the simulation room.
The blue pads are Worker posts, the yellow pads are Soldier posts, and the red pads are for
Managers and above.
Keep in mind that failure to comply with the rules and regulations on the staff team may lead
to a demotion.
Wedge with your attendees and ensure their usernames are clearly visible. Write them
down on a notepad and log your event.
