Position Overview: CDK Global is seeking a highly skilled Cloud Database


Administrator to join our IT team in Hyderabad. This role is crucial for
managing, optimizing, and ensuring the availability and performance of our
cloud-based database systems. The ideal candidate will have a robust
background in database administration and cloud technologies, with a strong
focus on operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

 Database Management: Administer, monitor, and maintain all cloud-


based database systems to ensure optimal performance, high
availability, and security compliance.

 Performance Tuning: Regularly assess database performance;


implement tuning measures to minimize response times and enhance
user experiences.

 Data Security and Backup: Implement robust security measures to


protect data integrity and privacy. Oversee routine backup operations
and ensure a reliable recovery plan is in place.

 Troubleshooting and Support: Quickly respond to database-related


issues and outages. Provide effective solutions in a timely manner,
minimizing disruption to business operations.
 Migration and Updates: Plan and execute migrations of databases to
cloud environments, as well as upgrades to newer database versions
as required.

 Collaboration and Documentation: Collaborate with cross-


functional teams to support broader IT projects. Document processes
and maintain clear records of database schemas, configurations, and
procedures.

Qualifications:

 Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a


related field.

 Proven experience in database administration, with a focus on cloud-


based solutions such as AWS RDS and Azure SQL Database.

 Strong understanding of SQL and experience with various database


technologies (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.).

 Familiarity with database migration, backup, recovery, and security


practices.

 Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.

 Effective communication skills and proficiency in documenting


technical processes.

 Certifications in cloud technologies (AWS, Azure) are highly preferred.
