Salary: BDT 54,996 per month plus benefits. Please see our Global Salary Scales for more
information. This role will be paid at the rate for Grade C in these scales.
Location: Dhaka, Bangladesh. Office based (some homeworking may be possible but the
majority of the time will be spent in the office)
Reports to: Finance Manager Asia, dotted line to Programme Team Lead Bangladesh
Benefits: 10% employer Provident Fund contribution (10% employee contribution will be
deducted monthly from your salary), annual festival bonus and gratuity (subject to service),
health cover (for you, spouse and one child) and group life insurance
Contract: Full-time (though we are open to considering applications from those who want to
work on a part-time or job-share basis)
Requirement: Bangla (Native Language) and English plus a right to work unrestricted in
Bangladesh

Our work is rooted in supporting disability rights activists in Africa and Asia to realise the
changes they want to see. We are getting back to our roots by sharing more power and
resource directly to them. We are transforming to become a participatory grant-maker in
order to move more funding directly to disability justice activists. Crucially, we will also give
disability justice activists greater decision-making power on who should receive funding and
how funding should be spent.
Job Purpose
Your role will be to ensure the provision of quality assurance that all financial transactions
relating to the work of ADD International in your country are processed. This would include
receiving and paying invoices, dealing with expenses, processing donations, liaising with the
bank and dealing with finance related admin such as validating any cash advances and any
other financial transaction processing. You will work closely with the Finance Manager who
manages you to make sure that we are documenting procurement processes effectively,
following all our agreed financial management principles and processes and documenting all
the information that we need about financial transactions for accounting and reporting
purposes.
Key Responsibilities
Finance (60%)
● To receive, create, and pay invoices and/or to work with other team members to do
this as required
● Maintain daily checking of payment, receipt and disbursement including preparation
of receipt, payment and general journal vouchers
● Ensure proper documentation of all transactions and maintain files of all supporting
documentation for accounting entries.
● Monitor the cash flow into and out of the local bank accounts to ensure that adequate
cash at all times is available for delivering ADD’s activities.
● Maintain appropriate financial records for programmes being implemented in your
country, validating and entering them into our accounting software (QuickBooks) and
ensure financial processes meet all statutory and funder requirements and that
financial information is timely, accurate and complete
● To manage expenses processes and any cash advances within the country-based
staff team
● To process donations that may arrive by post or need depositing with the bank
● Maintain petty cash, safeguard and update assets, office equipment and office
supplies filing system
● To make any international payments or transfers as required
● Monthly bank and cash reconciliation
● To ensure that we follow good practice and internal policy around these processes
● To document all of these transactions within our finance system using agreed virtual
processes to do so
● To ensure all procurement processes in the country are documented accurately
● To work closely with Finance Officers in other country teams to ensure cross
organisational consistency in our financial processing within our current system
(OuickBooks)
● Responsible for sub grant transfers and reviewing of the subsequent financial reports
● Coach other staff to support financial processing
● Undertake any other related duties as deemed or delegated by your line manager
Administration (25%)
● To work with the rest of the team to ensure that country related admin is undertaken
as required
● To help ensure a safe working environment for all those working for and within ADD
International offices in your country
● To keep and check records of vehicle movements.
● Assist in delivering logistics tasks, namely; procurement of office supplies, foreign
visitors and updating the inventory records of the organisation equipment, furniture
and fixture.
