Define relational schema and schema instance. 4, Explain 1:1 (one-to-one) and 1:M (one-to-many) relationship types with an example, | 5 Explain entity and attribute. 6 Differentiate stored and derived attributes. i 1 Define primary key and foreign key. 8. Define functional dependency. 9. What is the purpose of join operation? Give an example. 10, Let Bank (Account no., name, address, balance, and amount) be a table. Write an SQL statement that will inelude another attribute nominee to the table Bank. 1, What is a view in SQL? State its advantages. 12, Explain GRANT and REVOKE operations in DBMS. SECTION-B Answer any FIVE questions. Each question carries EIGHT marks. (5*8 =40) 1. Define DBMS and discuss the characteristics of a DBMS. 2, What is a data model? Explain different data models. 3.
