1.1 The circuit diagram in Fig. Q1.1 is used to plot the diode characteristics. Sketch the
load line on to the graph and find the operating point graphically. Choose VDD = 3 V,

1.2 Sketch a neat circuit diagram of a full-wave rectifier (using a centre-tapped


transformer) (no filter capacitor) and supplying a load current of 0.6 A. label vprim, vsec,

2.1 As in the Fig. Q 2.1, the Zener diode with following data is used as a regulator.
VZ = 9.1 V, IZT = 5 mA, rz = 50 Ω, R1 = 470 Ω, RL=1k

Study the power supply circuit of Fig. 2 and answer the following questions to complete the
design. Use VD = 0.7 V for a diode in forward bias, C = 1000 µF/25 V, IL= 1.2 A.
