This study aims to know the different
1. Student/ prospect for higher education knows the different track that could have.
2. Knowledgeable with the different fields of mathematics when it comes to subject
matter.
3. The brief comparisons advantages and limitations of every majors. And to answer
which one is best fit on you capabilities.
We well be suing different curriculum from University of the Philippines – Los Baños. They
offer 3 different courses that a math Major have. They are the BS Mathematics, BS Applied
Mathematics and BS in Math and Science Teaching. This study will know will discuss only the
BS mathematics and BS applied mathematics. For the teaching related course, I choose the BS in
Secondary Education major in Mathematics form the Batangas state University. Consider the
following Curriculum. [1] UPLB
The BS Mathematics program is a four-year course that seeks to develop and enhance students’
mathematical skills necessary in pursuing careers in the academe, research institutions and areas
of work requiring analytical and critical thinking. It covers the breadth and depth of mathematics,
from classical to contemporary, from the theoretical to the applied. [1] UPLB
This programs goes beyond what the mathematics that commonly is known. With the study of
axioms, theorems and proofs, student gain knowledge and appreciations in mathematics.
Graduates of the BS Mathematics program may pursue careers in business, economics, and
banking that require strong analytical and problem-solving skills. They are also prepared for
mathematics teaching in the university, graduate studies, and research. [1]
We are about to describe the following mathematics topics describes it in leman’s terms based on
the experience of the researcher. Here are the following topics in mathematics
Mathematica analysis I - Limits
