TOPIC 3

A: Hi B, C
B: Hi
C: Hi everyone
A: So today, we will talk about the undercover investigations
B: ohh This is an interesting topic.
C: ohh really ? I'm really excited about this topic
A: Do you know types of undercover investigations ?
B: I known , undercover investigations by using tiny hidden video cameras, and in this
investigations, the reporter takes on a false identity.
C: It was thrilling. Can you think of a specific example?
B: Sure. The reporter pretended to be a high school student for several weeks to get secret videos of
students buying and selling drugs at school.
A: well, Do you think that reporters have a right to take secret videos of people who are breaking
the law?
C: For me, I think the reporters have a right to take secret videos of people who are breaking the
law. Because they need to expose the truth so that the state can prevent bad behavior from
continuing. If they don't, crime will increase
B: That sounds like a good idea. I agree. It's not illegal for reporters to do that, they're just doing
their job
A: I also have other type kinds of undercover investigations. That is Undercover operations
C: Ohh What is it?
A: well, Undercover (UC) agents email, text, and chat with suspects online to communicate. For
example, this can be in the form of the UC assuming the identity of a child to investigate child
molestation cases or perhaps the UC will assume an identity of a high-tech criminal to investigate a
hacker. And you, C ? Do you know any other types?
C: Yesss, we can undercover investigations by Cellphone surveillance . I mean Cellphone
surveillance (also known as cellphone spying) may involve tracking, bugging,
monitoring, eavesdropping, and recording conversations and text messages on mobile phones,
which can be tracked using mobile phone signals when phones are turned on.
A: So we have 3 different types . Do you think these types of investigations are a good idea?
B: I think it's a good idea, it can prevent crimes from happening in our lives
C: I agree with your ideas, These types of investigations help us to anticipate impending dangers to
protect people's lives and health.
A: But , undercover investigations are very dangerous and not safe , they’re must face the danger
right ? Those who go to investigate may have an accident or will die because of knowing the secret
and being discovered by the criminal.
B: I think their families might be in danger too
C: ohh That's plain scary.
A: Yess, Well , thank your ideas your today. I think that enough for us, and I hope that we have
more time to disscuss more. But today, we should stop here
B: yeahh, thanks . See you again.
C: See you next time.
