Lectures Notes Sexually Transmitted Diseases STD

Sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), also known as sexually transmitted infections (STIs), are infections spread through sexual contact. There are three main types of STIs: bacterial (e.g., syphilis, gonorrhea, chlamydia), viral (e.g., genital herpes, HIV/AIDS), and parasitic (e.g., trichomoniasis). STIs can lead to serious health issues if untreated, and using protection during sexual activity can help reduce the risk of infection.
