SCSI2SD Installation For EMU
SCSI2SD Installation For EMU
** SCSI2SD as a storage device works with all generations of E-MUs (drives should be formatted from
the sampler according to the destination format), and multiple samplers can even share one SCSI2SD
when properly terminated.
** Transfers of wave/AIFF files between SCSI2SD and PC/Mac over USB however are only possible
on Ultra samplers with OS 4.7.

Installation Procedure:
1. Download the SCSI2SD configuration utility application and connect the card to your PC/Mac.
3. Open the util app, set it as follows, and then click “Save to Device.”
a. b.
c. d.
e.
4. Disconnect the SCSI2SD from your computer.
6. Attach the jumper to the last two pins on the floppy bus, as follows:
7. Attach the 50-pin SCSI cable between the SCSI2SD and the E-MU SCSI bus. The SCSI2SD card
will be powered directly by the SCSI bus, so no other cabling is necessary.
8. Power on the sampler. Navigate to the disk section. The E-MU should display all four virtual drives.
10. Turn off sampler and complete the installation by assembling the card and bracket, and seating it in
the E-MU in place of the floppy drive.
Finished: You will now be able to save to the SD card, remove it, and transfer files between the
computer and the E-MU.
Notes
** SCSI2SD currently supports up to 4 virtual drives. The drives are only visible through the SCSI2SD
card (the micro SD card will not show 4 drives if it is plugged into your computer via a card reader
without the SCSI2SD device).
** The SD card is hotswappable so you can transfer files between the E-MU and your computer while
powered on.
