Importance of business: It is a fact that business is the biggest and most important source of livelihood.
Business plays an important role in the freedom, independence, prosperity, construction and
development of an individual nation and country. In view of this importance of business, Allah says:
Translation: "Do not consume each other's property by unlawful means, but gain profit through trade
with mutual consent." (Al-Nisa' 29)Translation: "When the prayer is completed, spread out on the earth
and seek Allah's bounty (wealth, trade and sustenance)" (Al-Juma'ah 10) Here, "bounty" means seeking
sustenance and wealth and the glory of the verse. Back Ground Motivation is based on trade. Prophet
Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "A true and trustworthy trader will be with the Prophets,
Siddiques and martyrs on the Day of Resurrection." (Comprehensive Tirmidhi)
Definition of Ethics: Ethics is a set of principles by which good and bad, right and wrong, right and wrong
are distinguished. In other words, the knowledge that reveals the reality of good and evil, explains how
people should deal with each other, and explains what the ultimate purpose and ultimate goal people
should keep in mind in their actions and is useful and useful. It is called Ilm-ul-Akhlaq to point out things.
Business Ethics: Business ethics is actually a branch of ethics in which ethical principles and rules are
seen and evaluated from a commercial point of view. It studies various issues related to business and
responsibilities of business people.
Morality in Islam: Islam gives great importance to moral principles in its teachings. Islam wants human
relationships, whether they are political, social or economic, to be based on better human behavior. In
this regard, there have been many recommendations and suggestions in the Qur'an and Sunnah. We
mention the translations of some Quranic verses and hadiths about this. It is stated in the Quran.
Translation: "You are the best nation" that has been brought out for the people. You speak good things
and forbid evil things and believe in God.” (Al-Imran 110)
Just as Islam gives moral values in other matters of life, it also gives some of its moral values in terms of
trade and business
Islam emphasizes that in finding sustenance, Halal and Haram should be taken into account, the sources
of sustenance which Allah Almighty has declared permissible and halal, and the sources of sustenance
which Allah Almighty has declared halal and halal. In this regard, it is said in the Holy Qur'an that
``Haram'' is permissible and illegal. Translation: Do not eat one another's wealth by unlawful means, and
do not take your wealth to the rulers for the purpose of deliberately eating a part of people's wealth as
a sin." (Al-Baqarah 188)
Once someone inquired from the Prophet ﷺthat which is the best means of earning sustenance? So
the Prophet ﷺreplied, "A man's earning by the labor of his hands and every legitimate purchase and
sale." It is clear from the mentioned verses and hadith that Muslims have been ordered to earn
sustenance from legitimate sources and from illegitimate sources. Earning has been prevented. The
study of hadiths shows that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) not only forbade
earning sustenance from forbidden sources, but also ordered to avoid sources that are suspected to be
legitimate or illegitimate.
