Getting Started
DMs with a Master Tier subscription to D&D Beyond can begin a multiplayer
session by selecting Create Table. After naming the table and selecting a session type,
DMs will be given a room code they can share with their players.

The two different session types are Trouble at the Bald Boar and Empty Table. Note: while everyone
can join a multiplayer room, only Master Tier subscribers can create rooms.

• Trouble at the Bald Boar is a starter

adventure that introduces new players
to key features and content such as
character minis and combat.
• Empty Table is a powerful sandbox
mode where DMs can build custom
environments for players to explore as
they run their campaigns.

Access the Options menu by clicking the

button. This menu includes video and audio
settings, as well as an option to give feedback via the survey link found in the launcher window.

Once DMs have created their table, they can hit Play to start the session.

Players can join the session by clicking Join Table, inputting the room code, and clicking Play.
Let the adventure begin!

TIP: Once in game, the room code can

also be viewed on the Settings screen.

And On We Go!
Since we’re still early in development, we’re still
hard at work building new features for you to
enjoy. Here’s a quick summary of what we’ve
got planned for the upcoming year:

Accessibility: We’re working with experts to

improve accessibility and make Sigil as easy to
use as possible. Thanks for all your feedback so
far, and please keep sharing your thoughts on
how we can make your experience better.

Hardware Performance: We will continue

optimizing Sigil so it can be run with minimal
performance issues on any hardware or
operating system. We are supporting 2D play to
accommodate more players.

Character Leveling / Changes: We are

working on stronger integration with D&D
Beyond through character linking. Over time,
we will be expanding this functionality based
on your feedback.

Custom Mini: Our mini customization feature

is still in early development. Players will be able
to import character sheets from D&D Beyond
and link them to minis they’ve created in Sigil.

Builder Mode: We will continue expanding the

builder feature set based on your feedback.
If you have any ideas or suggestions, be sure to
let us know!

Action Economy: As we design our spells and

abilities engine, our goal is to strike a balance
between responsive effects, supporting the
official D&D rule set, ease of use, and flexibility
for homebrew rules and free play.
