Reading comprehension.

They scrambled up and, dropping their hoes, ran to me. They lifted up the

bright red all over, like pepper! They were frightened.

’’ What shall we tell his father?’’ asked my aunt.
’’ He will be extremely angry __ we must do something quickly.’’

They rushed me to a nearby well and soaked me in water. They bathed me


all over, but l was still as red…….the sun had indeed roasted me.
