Final Project Detailed Outline Due Monday, November 6

Directions: You will fill out a rough outline for your intended final project
topic and include three sources that support your argument. See the
prompts below for further details on what you should cover in your outline.
Follow my examples below and submit your outline in the provided template
on Canvas by 11:59 pm on November 6.

Types of Projects:

1. Research Paper:
a. Prompt: Identify a problem that threatens American democracy
and discuss at least two strategies to reform/address the
problem that elected officials could employ. Then, address at
least one counterargument/problem with each solution. (4-6
pages)
2. Art Portfolio:
a. Prompt for artist’s statement: Describe your artwork and how it
represents, comments on, or challenges American democracy or
democratic values. Be sure to clearly identify the subject of your
art and at least three visual references and at least two
academic references that support your artwork. (2-3 pages)

Templates: Use the templates on pages 2 and 3 according to which type of


project you will complete. You only need to fill out the template for one
topic and should include a total of five sources minimum.
