Script:
Introduction: Each one of us has his/her own roles and responsibilities in a community that we
were able to serve other people with our own abilities. At the same time, we were able to serve
God through the good deeds that we do to others. However, as we fulfill the tasks we were
assigned to do, we experience difficulties that we tend to stood up for others’ mistakes.
Scene 1 (Office)
Employer: Good morning, Mr. Dela Cruz! You’ve been hired as a maintenance. You can officially
start tomorrow. Goodluck on your first day. (shakehands)
Janitor: Thank you!
———- First day of work——-
(Mr. Dela Cruz was very hardworking at his work, throughout his stay he assures that all the
facilities will be clean enough before he leaves the area)
Scene 2 (Classroom)
Student1: Hey let’s go! It’s dismissal time already. My mom will scold me for going home late
again.
Student2: Wait, how about the chairs and the trash? The room is not yet clean.
Student3: Just leave it. The maintenance will clean it anyway. It’s just a waste of time.
Student2: But---
-The students will leave the classroom and Mr. Dela Cruz will enter to clean the room-
Janitor: (sighs) There’s pile of trashes again. The students can’t maintain the cleanliness on
their own.
(Video clips of Mr. Dela Cruz cleaning around the campus)
P1: A maintenance is a member that has the responsibility of the cleanliness of the environment
for students, faculty and staff, and other members of the community. We leave trashes on the
floor, they sweep the floor. We leave the chairs disorganized, they arrange it. We leave our used
utensils, they throw it in a garbage can. We put the trash in any garbage can, they segregate it.
These may seems to be a simple duty; however, performing such actions leads them to
experience hardships. We tend to forget our duty as stewards of God's creation. Although there
are members of the community being given a task, each one of us should instill in ourselves the
discipline of responsibility in every action we take.
Conclusion:
P2: This action shows a situation of being a servant while suffering. It implies that as a person
tries to accomplish his roles as a servant, he suffers from the difficulties and implications
brought by this. There are many circumstances in our life were we have felt that way since
suffering or facing difficulties are innate part of each one’s lives.
P3: Looking back to the time before Jesus was born, predicted in the Book of Isaiah 53:4,
“Surely he took up our infirmities and carried our sorrows, yet we considered him stricken by
God, smitten by him, and afflicted.” This implies that the Messiah, Jesus Christ, is predicted to
be a suffering servant. He will come to save us from our sins as he fulfill his mission as a savior.
P4: As stated in Matthew 27:32-56, it shows the sufferings of Jesus Christ from the carrying of
the cross up to his death as he was crucified on the cross. We are sinners yet He stood up for
us to save us from our sins and carried all our misery and transgressions. Henceforth, Jesus
suffered at the hands of the great oppressors for our sins as he was serving God, His Father. At
the end, Jesus is the Suffering Servant.
