MEASUREMENTS
• Rose: 2.5”/6 cm x 1.5”/4 cm wide
• Leaf: 2.25” / 5 cm x 1.5” / 4 cm wide

• yf: Bring yarn from the back of the work to the k =Knit
front of the work. As you knit the next stitch, the k2tog = Knit 2 together
yarn will be brought over the needle, creating a m1 = Make 1 stitch
new stitch with a "hole" underneath it. rep = Repeat
• m1: Make 1 stitch rs = Right side
• sl2tog kw: Slip the next 2 stitches together sl = Slip
(without working them) knitwise as if to knit from sts = Stitches
the left to the right hand needle (D). ws = Wrong side
• p2sso: Pass the two slip sitches over the last yf = Yarn forward (see description to left)

Row 1 (RS): *(K1, yf), rep from * to last st, k1.
(61 sts)

Row 2 (WS): Knit.

Row 3: *(k1, yf, k2tog), rep from * 10 times,


*(k2, yf, k2tog), rep from *4 times, *(k3, yf,
k2tog) rep from * 3 times.

Row 4: Bind of stitches knitwise; do not cut


yarn. 1 st remaining.

Row 5: Turn work, with RS facing you. Move


remaining stitch to right hand needle. *Cast
on 4 sts (A), pick up one st by putting needle
through the hole created by yf from Row 3,
and knitting a stitch through it (B). Repeat
from * 4 times, picking up stitches through TO F I N I S H
next yf hole each time. Next *cast on 5 sts,
pick up 1 st through yf hole, rep from * Pull the petals taut and in to shape. Secure
6 times. Next, *cast on 6 sts, pick up 1 st the last petal to the cast on edge. Beginning
through yf hole, rep from * 4 times. Next, with the smaller petals, twist into a coil (C),
*cast on 7 sts, pick up 1 st through yf hole,
rep from * 3 times.
