AFS FILTER SERIES 3 STAGE / 4 STAGE


INSTALLATION & MAINTENANCE GUIDE

NOTE: Please read through the instructions carefully before using or installing the product and ensure that
manual is kept in a safe place for future reference. The system must be property installed and located in
accordance with the installation instructions before it is used.

▪ OPERATION CONDITIONS
Do not install unit in or around damp areas, near flammable material, or in location exposed to direct
sunlight.

Flow Rate 1.5 – 2.5 L / min


Working Pressure 30 60 psi (2 – 4.2 kgf/cm)
Temperature 33 – 100 psi (1 – 38 °C) Se recomienda 40psi o más
Flushing 5 Minutes

▪ OPERATIONS NOTICES
-Do not use with water that is microbiologically unsafe or of unknown quality without adequate
disinfection before or after the system.

-For cold water only.

-Filter should be replaced by each required filter replacement period.

-The testing was performed under standard laboratory conditions; actual performance may vary.

-Check for compliance with the state and local laws and regulations.

-System must be installed and operated in an accordance with manufacturer’s recommended


procedures and guidelines.

NOTE: If inlet water pressure exceeds 100psi, install a pressure reducing regulator in the inlet water
supply pipe.

NOTE: If you do not use water quality within the above range without prior discussion with our supplier
or our company, the product can be excluded from the stated warranty period.

▪ MOUNTING SYSTEM INSTALLATION


Pick a location under the sink to mount the system. Location should be easily accessible, with clearance
at the top and bottom of the filter, to allow ease of removal of the filter cartridge.

Please ensure there is enough space on either side of the system for the tubing connections.

1. Rotate the filter counterclockwise a 1/4 turn and pull out. Remove all filters cartridges in the
system.

NOTE: Please read through the instructions carefully before using or installing the product and ensure that

accordance with the installation instructions before it is used.

2. Check to ensure that mounting bracket is attached to filter head.


3. Mark location of fixing holes, and fix unit to cupboard with mounting screws provided.

NOTE: Remember to allow approximately 100mm above and below and 200m on the sides of the filter
cartridge to allow ease of removal.

4. Replace filter into the filter head and turn clockwise a 1/4 turn to lock filter back into place.
Replace all filters cartridges in the systems, ensuring they are in the correct positions.

NOTE: Filter head will come with small tiny plugs in the hose inlets/outlets, to protect the system during
shipping. These plugs are to be removed before installation.

▪ FILTERS TYPE

Sediment filter: removes sediment and solids


Pre-carbon filter: removes odor, taste and low levels of chorine
Post-carbon filter: removes odor, taste and low levels of chorine
Membrane UF filter: neutralizes viruses, bacteria and coliforms
Membrane RO filter: removes minerals, hardness, bacteria, viruses and all heavy metals

▪ TYPICAL INSTALLATION DIAGRAM

FILTER REPLACEMENTS
1. Isolate water supply, by turning the shut off valve “off” or turning water “off” at the
mains water supply. Open tap faucet to release any excess water still present in system.
2. Pull the cartridge toward you.
3. Rotate the old cartridge counterclockwise 1/4 turn and pull it out.
4. Insert the new cartridge into the filter head and rotate clockwise 1/4 turn.
5. Place the cartridge to the vertical position.
6. Turn on the water and check leaks. If leaks occur, repeat step 1,2,3,4.
7. Turn facet to “on” position. Turn water supply “on” slowly at isolation tap or water
meter, to release any air trapped in the system.
8. Leave faucet in the “on” position for approximately 2 minutes to allow water to fully
flow through the system.
9. Turn faucet “off” and check for any water leaks around the system.
10. Turn faucet “on” and leave in the “on” position for approximately 5 minutes to allow
water to flush out the system.
Repeats steps 1-3 for all other cartridges. Please check system again the next day after
installation for any leaks.
