(1) History
Following inspection programs on in service aircraft cracks were detected at door
stop fitting fasteners holes in Frame (FR) FR66 and FR68. To prevent this area from
potential major repairs the fastener holes must be reinforced.
(2) Objective/Action
This Service Bulletin details the cold working of the fastener holes in the airframe
structure for the door stop fittings installation in FR66 and FR68.
The procedure as described in this Service Bulletin is to be performed if no Airbus
repair and/or repair improvement has been previously performed in the same area.
In case of repairs performed previously, please contact AIRBUS Repair Support
department for further instructions.
(3) Advantages
Accomplishment of this Service Bulletin will contribute to prevent further inspections
and major repairs in the airframe structure of FR66 and FR68 stop fitting area.
