E standard

not including a 6-string version this time cause the arrangement is more
complicated this time
remember tho that strings 1-6 in standard on a 8-string are the exact same, the
only difference is ofc having the 7th and 8th string, which are B and F#
respectively

but remember, the 7th and 8th string on a 8-string follow the same pattern of each
string being 5 frets away from the next string

add 2 frets to anything on the low F# and you have it on your E string, then 2
frets to anything on the low B and you have it on the A string
so converting parts to 6-string is not difficult

Ill note many of the small details regarding dynamics, changes in how a riff is
played, etc... but not all of them thatd take too long

* = stop this string from ringing at this point (note that I didnt indicate this
all the time, only when it seemed more important I guess)
br = bend release
x'x = when I type stuff like 5'7'11 im using ' to seperate strings so this would
be:
-----------------------------------
-----------------------------------
-----------------------------------
--11-------------------------------
--7--------------------------------
--5--------------------------------

pedals are standard goslings fare:

bass octaver tied to foot pedal
then
2 distortion pedals - tube comp into classic distortion on pod 500
also a big muff before everything is activated for just 1 section of the song

fp = footpedal usage

last thing to say for this song - the take I uploaded to youtube has a huge amount
of improv, so much of the arrangement I came up with, aka this tab, is not
fully accurate to my youtube cover.

holding left hand muting strings around 4th fret (pinky will be at 4th fret)
from 0:00-1:30, have amp hiss going
y = hitting/tapping the top of the muted string over the bridge, to get a
percussive sound
0:25
this following part, from 0:25-1:30 is mostly the arrangement I came up first, that
was supposed to include the drums, cymbals, etc... along with
all the background sfx that I could fit in. so the dead notes are pretty much all
drum hits and the higher string stuff is mostly cymbals
the notes on lower strings are the sfx in the bg

only marking the important fps for this section, go by feel and add any more you
want
also keep in mind, we want the synth notes to sound seperate to the 16 on low F#,
meaning think about the details in how you are playing, often times
you will want to let go of the 16, letting the synth note ring out
at start, activate big muff, or some other pedal to replicate texture better since
this section we are doing synth + guitar part

for the glitchy section, I marked the drum hits with deadnotes, as I initially
wanted to play the drum part too here, but ran outta practice time
another thing you should do here, if you arent doing the drum part, is to activate
a volume pedal (around 75 or 85%) tied to your foot pedal,
then pump the pedal in time with the drum hits, to simulate the effect of the drum
on the guitar hiss in the actual song
