1. COURSE SUMMARY (Importance of the course need to be mentioned here)

Production and Operations Management deals with the basic knowledge on manufacturing
activities, services, forecasting, scheduling and quality. This course gives the basics of
manufacturing and service operations in a business. Student will be able to learn and explain
different elements of manufacturing/operations process. The student will be able to analyze the
relation between operations and other functions of a company. This course makes student
learn the integration of production and operations activities with other wings like marketing,
finance, MIS and other departments of the company
