WHERE WILL WE GO FIRST?

Earth's population is growing more quickly every year. I think that someday in the
future, we will need to leave Earth and travel to new planets. I think that the best options
are two planets near us in space, Mars and Venus. But which one will we travel to first?
Mars is often called "the Red Planet" because of its color. It is further from the sun than
Earth, so it's very cold. It is much smaller than Earth, so the gravity there is very low and
there isn't much oxygen, too. It will cause health problems for humans living there for a
long time.
Venus is often called Earth's "sister planet". The two planets are almost the same size, so
the gravity is very similar to Earth's. However, Venus's temperature is very hot, and the
air is dangerous.
In my opinion, both planets are dangerous. However, traveling to Venus is more
dangerous and difficult I think that we will visit Mars first. I hope that we will learn
more about other planets later, too.

A MEETING WITH AN ALIEN

I will never forget the day I met an alien.
I was ten years old. I was with my friend Jonathan. We were climbing trees in the forest
near my home.
I was sitting near the top of a tree when I saw a large, green face next to me. It had huge,
black eyes, and a tiny mouth. It was looking at me and making strange noises. I think it
was trying to tell me something, but I couldn't understand its language. I was terrified,
but I couldn't move my body. The alien spoke for about a minute. Then, I saw a strange
light and closed my eyes. When I opened them, the alien wasn't there anymore.
Jonathan didn't see it. When I described it, Jonathan thought it was just a frog. I don't
think it was a frog because it was too big. I'm sure it was an alien from another planet.

Where will people live?

Earth is becoming very crowded. In the future, many people believe that the (1)______
will continue to increase. So, the question is, where will all the people live?
I believe that most people will live on (2)_____. We can build these close to Earth and
travel between them. It will be easy to build new space stations when we need more
places for people to live. However, there might not be a lot of room for people to move
and exercise. They (3)____ also be very expensive to build, but they will have a great
(4)_____ of Earth and they will be safe.
I think other people will live on Mars. There will be large cities with lots of people in
them. We will have to build these cities under a glass cover. These places will be even
easier to travel between. However, they will be dangerous. If we damage something and
the air gets out, it will cause a lot of damage. It will also have less (5)_____ than Earth.
This can cause problems for people.
We don't know where we will live in the future, but we will find some interesting
solutions for our large population.
