Moving a Keyed Standalone License to


another Computer
This document explains how to move a keyed standalone license to another
computer. To revoke a keyless standalone license, please refer to the document
standalone_revokeKeylessLicense.pdf.

You may need to move your standalone license from one PC to another, for example:

• When upgrading to a new PC.


• To transfer the license from one machine to another, for example from your
desktop to your laptop.

When using a keyed standalone license, the license is associated to the key, not the
computer. To move the key, follow these steps:

1. On the original machine, remove the key.

2. On the new PC, attach the key and follow the license installation procedure
again, using the same server code as on the original PC.

For instructions on installing a license, please refer to the document


standalone_InstallLicense.pdf.

Your licenses are now installed and ready to use.

There is no need to remove the license file from the old computer, but you will
only be able to run the software on the computer that has the key attached.
