Sub: -Clarification on eireular 17 dated 29/03/2023, Sir/Madam, With reference to circular no 17 dated 29/03/2023 this office has been receiving queries regarding passing criteria for class IX and Class XI (Generai/Vocationa} and Supplementary examination. tis clarified as below 1, The passing criteria for class IX and class XI Is as follows:- A. Astudent has to pass in minimum 6 subjects to declare him /her to qualify for next class. B. A student has (o secure minimum 33% aggregate in a subject to be declared PASS in that subject. C. A student is entitled for maximum of 6 condonation marks (out ‘of 600) for obtaining overall G-grade in one or more subjects after adding theory and year round assessment component ie. practical/assignment/project. (Refer Circular No. 28 dated 17/06/20). Condonation marks are to be added in aggregate total (out of 100) of a subject provided he/she passes the examination after adding condonation marks. 2. Regarding supplementary examination for IX and XI ‘Student(s) is entiled for supplementary examination irrespective of the number of subjects in which the student scores less than 33% aggregate out of 100.
