TOPIC: REALISING MARITAL DIGNITY AND HARMONY
TEXT: GENESIS 2:24-25
INTRODUCTION: Marital harmony, unity and oneness is God’s design for the home (Gen. 2:24). A major assignmen
t of the devil is to try to undo and un-work what God does, The devil is behind marital disharmony, disunity and crisis.
He knows that God’s original plan for man in marriage is to be enjoyed not endured. But he keeps sourcing out ways
to bring marriages in disarray. There are these profits in marriages as a result of Harmony, Unity and Oneness. We sh
all be diagnosing them today.
B. WHAT IS THE PROFIT OF MARITAL HARMONY, UNITY AND ONENESS?
1. Irresistible Effort (Gen. 11:6) Irresistible effort that leads to irresistible progress
2. Unlimited (unrestrained) Potentials (Eccl. 4:9). The climate of peace and love brings the best out of man.
3. Unhindered Prayers (1 Pet. 3:7) Anything God cannot give you, pastor cannot give you.
4. Anointed, God-filled Family Climate (1 John 4:8). The love of God is the fertile ground for human potential manife
station.
5. A God-honouring, Pacesetting, Generational Impact (Matt. 5:14-16) God wants to use your life to preach a messa
ge without your statement.
D. COUNSEL: Seek to Understand First Before you seek to be understood
E. FOOD FOR THOUGHT: The beginning of marital failure is when you begin to watch out for the offence of
the others.
F. PRACTICAL APPLICATION: Make the decision of quality for marital harmony and dignity and be deliberat
e and intentional.

4. Father, we ask that You give peace in our land. Rid Nigeria of evil beasts as well as beastly human beings, Lor
d in Jesus Name. Let not the sword go through our land anymore, Lord in Jesus Name – Lev. 26:6.
5. Father, we ask that You cut off the spirit of evil, blood-sucking principalities and their human agents over Nig
eria. Let them see Your terror in this season, Lord in Jesus Name – Psalm 76:12.
6. Father, I make demand on your fresh power on my life, my family and destiny today, I ask for massive impact
on my generation Lord, in Jesus’ Name – Luke 4:14
7. Father, thank You for the privilege of praying and answering Lord, in Jesus’ Name- Ps 65:2
