Attempt all questions. 2. Make suitable assumptions wherever necessary. 3. Figures to the right indicate full marks. 4. Simple and non-programmable scientific calculators are allowed. Marks Q.1 (a) Draw three equal divisions of an angle, Ɵ = 90°. 03 (b) Explain Types of Lines used in Engineering Drawing with their usual 04 representations & applications. (c) Using General method for drawing Polygon, draw a Hexagon of side 50 mm. 07 Q.2 (a) Explain system of Dimensioning with suitable example. 03 (b) Draw symbols of First angle Projection Method and Third angle Projection Method. 04 (c) Divide a line of 100 mm into 8 equal parts. 07 OR (c) Give Difference between First angle Projection Method and Third angle Projection 07 Method. Q.3 (a) Define the following engineering curves: 03 (i) Conics (ii) Cycloid (iii) Involute (b) Draw projection of following points on the same reference line keeping 04 the projectors 15 mm apart: i. Point A is in HP and in VP ii. Point B is in VP and 25 mm below HP iii. Point C is 10 mm below HP and 20 mm in front of VP iv. Point D is 20 mm above HP and 20 mm in front of VP (c) A line AB, 80 mm long is inclined to HP at 30° and to VP at 45°. The end A is in HP 07 and in VP. Draw projection of line AB. Find length of top view and front view of line and inclination of them with HP and VP. OR Q.3 (a) Draw the projections of the following points on the same ground lines, keeping 03 the projectors 15 mm apart: (i) A in the H.P. and 20 mm behind V.P. (ii) B 25 mm below the H.P. and 25 mm behind V.P. (iii) C 40 mm below H.P. and 25 mm in front of V.P. (b) A line MN, 60 mm long, is in V.P. It makes an angle of 30° with the H.P. The end 04 point M is 15 mm above H.P. Draw projections of line MN. Also measure Plan length of the line. (c) The line AB has its end A, 15 mm above H.P. and 10 mm in front of V.P. The end B 07 is 60 mm above H.P. The distance between the end projectors is 50 mm. The plan of the line is inclined at 25° to X-Y line. Draw the projections of line. Find true length and inclination of the line with H.P. Q.4 (a) A hexagonal plane of 30 mm side, rests on the V.P. on an edge such that the 03 surface is inclined at 45° to the V.P. Draw its projections. (b) Draw a parabola with base 80 mm & axis length 50 mm by Rectangle method. 04 (c) The major & minor axes of an ellipse are 120 mm & 80 mm respectively.
