N23 CCD CAMERA

FOR X-RAY IMAGE INTENSIFIER
N23 Series CCD CAMERA

The N23 CCD camera, manufactured using printed circuit board with SMD technology, offers better performance than
NICAL’ s well know N20 camera system. It uses the same camera head of CCD camera N20 and the same wiring and controls.
All previously offered configurations are available in the new system along with vertical-horizontal inversion and continuous
360° rotation. Digital integrated image processing has been changed from 9 to 10 bit output resolution for better performance.
This new system allows obtaining 512 frames memory with icons and numbered frames displayed. These new characteristics
put the new N23 CCD at the top of the standard resolution CCD cameras for x-ray image intensifier and radiological
applications.

A very important new feature is DRF

(Dynamic Recursive Filter) which allows
changing pixel by pixel the recursive filter
factor. This type of filter offers better
photonic noise reduction, eliminating also
image persistence during patient movement.
This new camera has been designed using the
latest image CCD sensor available. A very small
dimension and particular resistance make it
useful in such applications as mobile C-arm. The
sensor unity gamma gives a very good
improvement in image contrast. The interline
transfer CCD is suitable for use with pulsed
fluoroscopy and can be used with 25 pulses per
second as a Vidicon progressive scan camera.

N23 SERIES

radiology digital image systems

As a result of very high dynamic range of the sensor, this camera excels in applications of non-destructive control test (NDT),
in which one can find a high difference in brightness from one point to another in the same image. Included in the N23 series
are various models. All start with the basic CCD TV chain which can be added to a separate memory unit or to a complete
system with memory, integral optical lens and image rotation.

CCD camera includes a 16 bit digital frame

memory with recursive filter integration and/or
Dynamic Recursive Filter (DRF).

The new store options allow up to 512 frames

memory. User can choose through various
acquisition frame rate (max 25 fr/sec) and
modality of using: continuous cine loop and/or
controlled single image visualization.

Every frame is displayed with corresponding

acquisition sequence number identified.

Easy functionality is guaranteed by new user-

friendly interface based on displayed icons at
border of the screen indicating running
operation.

New memory boards support two independent

video out channels A and B. User can select
live image on monitor A and stored image on
monitor B or any possible combination of two
different stored images on monitor A and B.

Cine-loop can record and play at full 30

images per second or can run at reduced
frame-rate for longer time.
