Chapter 14 - Brotherly Love

Nova's purple and golden orange aura glowed like the sun as the great
gusts of winds it sent out blew away weakened debris. The dead bodies
of Ariel and Vide along with the pooling blood beneath them lay
motionless while Eclipsis continued to moan in pain as she was crushed
into the ground. The two other Cosmos siblings, Diablo and Kara, stood
still with calm expressions on their faces though you could feel the
power beginning to bubble up from inside them. Me and Kuni, who was
holding an unconscious Lazuli, sat and stood there next to the Sin
Empress and Hybrid Mage completely stunned at what we heard our
friend, Nova, say.

"The Yin-Yang King." Lazuli stirred as if she was dreaming.

Nova's aura calmed before disappearing though his appearance still

stayed the same. Golden eyes with the whites turned purple along with
that same purple colour stretching up to his temples in a vein like
pattern. The skin on his forearms and hands was a glowing golden with
purple tattoos crawling up it.

He turned to face the stirring Lazuli a fired a small beam of white

energy which was absorbed into her chest.

Lazuli suddenly sat up, sucking in a huge breath, eyes wide.

"What the…" She mumbled groggily as she looked around, a slightly

unsettled and surprised look appeared on her face when she saw the
bodies of Vide and Ariel.

She then clutched her head as her eyes glazed with a glowing red
colour for moment before disappearing as she stared at Nova in shock.

"The Yin-Yang King, Nova Cosmos." She breathed.

"Looks like your friend survived the evolution little bro." Diablo said
with a grin, his crimson eyes almost glowing with malice. "That makes a
total of four Awakened Ethereals now."

Nova turned to face his twin brother.

It was almost trippy seeing the two twins, both so similar yet also so
different at the same time.

"I'm going to kill you." Nova said calmly with a cold blank look in his
eyes. "You do know that right."

"Novarion Cosmos. My brother." Kara said slowly clapping her hands.

"Does this have to end in a fight?"

Nova looked at her with same expression.

"If you didn't want this to be a fight, then you shouldn't have come
looking for me and then sending the other members of the Six Demon
Ranks after my friend as she was evolving. As my siblings you should
know more than anyone what the cost of pissing me off is."

A shield of red energy suddenly covered and surrounded Kuni, Lazuli

and I as Nova raised out his hand which was glowing with a slightly
brighter shade of red.

"But before we get to that I'm going to make our setting a bit more
private." He said as he vapourised the bodies of Vide and Ariel with a
small blast attack before then turning his hand clockwise.

Kara quickly grabbed hold of Eclipsis and ripped her out of whatever
gravity-based attack Nova had put her on as something unbelievable
happened.

Time began to turn backwards as if someone had pressed the rewind

button on a TV remote. Everything that had happened in the
tournament was now being seen in reverse as time passed backwards
getting faster and faster. The very creation of the Battle Dimension
could be seen in reverse making it seem like it was being destroyed but
we continued to backwards in time faster and faster, entire months
passing by in what felt like 2 seconds to us and whole years 5.

We the travel backwards through time stopped and we were at a point

where the city I had lived in wasn't even built yet.

Was I even born yet?

Instead, we in a barren grassland with no sign of civilisation as far as

the eye could see.

"I-ignoring the fact you just pressed the rewind button on time," I said
to Nova, finding what I just said hard to believe myself. "Why did we go
so far back? I mean what year is it!?"

"1960 and we've gone back this far because your lives can never go back
to normal now." He replied calmly.

"We'll discuss what will happen to you three later." Kara said sounding
almost friendly as she let go of Eclipsis.

"All I need to know right now," The Shadow Tyrant said her eyes
seething with rage. "is how I'm going to make you pay!"

She charged forward with a fist pulled back.

"Hyde don't!" Kara tried to stop her, but it was too late.

My sister tried to stop Eclipsis knowing full well she was about to die by
my hands.

Her punch stopped an inch of hitting my face, the Skill Barrier working
as expected. The usual effect of this however would still be some kind
of shockwave but instead Eclipsis's entire arm, the one she tried to
punch me with, vapourised in an explosion of blood as she was sent
flying back landing at my siblings' feet.

She screamed in pain as blood flowed freely from her severed shoulder
with Diablo giggling, Kara looking disappointed and my friends looking
surprised as they tried to work out what happened.

"Wha-wha…" Lazuli said trying to find the words.

""What did you do?"" Kuni and Shion said in shock.

"Aren't you a show off, pulling an ability out like that." Diablo scoffed.

"My soldiers come to me!" Eclipsis shrieked and the green and black
smoke like soldiers appeared surrounding us with the three normal
looking female soldiers appearing beside me.

All three were incredibly beautiful.

"Kill him!!" Eclipsis shrieked. "KILL HIM NOW, I ORDER YOU!!"

"I cannot do that." Said the first one girl who was the one who looked
slightly unnatural with the red coloured skin and two small horns. Her
yellow eyes looking at her master like she was a child as her long white
hair blew gently in the wind.

"You're not the one we truly obey." Said the second girl who had pitch
:
black hair that was cut short at the shoulders.

"We only have one leader." The third girl said who has purple hair that
ran down to her lower back.

"And he is the King." The girl slightly unnatural looking girl said.

The three women then bowed before me like the subjects of an

emperor and or king.

"Did you really think that was a smart idea Eclipsis?" I said glowering at
her. "Using one of my Unique Skills (Wraith Army) that I gave to you
since I felt sorry for you, against me."

I activated Gravity Master again and she was suddenly pulled to my

outstretched hand which gripped her around the face covering her
mouth as I lifted her up into the air while I snapped my fingers.

As soon as I did that all the soldiers suddenly bowed to me and the
glowing green parts of their bodies changed into a glowing red.

"You'll die!" Eclipsis yelled muffled by my hand over her mouth as

energy gathered around her now only hand but as soon as I saw that
her hand exploded the same way her other arm had.

"These are my soldiers, and that Skill rightfully belongs to me, so I've
taken it back." I hissed. "My Soldiers! All of you, expect for the three
Generals: Rei, Minerva, Andrea, return within me."

Obeying my command, all the soldiers (minus the three bowing women)
disintegrated into red energy which then seemed to be absorbed by me
as they awaited to be summoned once again.

Eclipsis tried to kick me but I saw it coming and her leg befell the same
fate as her arm and hand.

"You can now die." I said calmly and her head disappeared as if it was
never even there leading to her limp body dropping to the floor.

"Bravo brother." Diablo said with a mock applause.

"Wha-wha…" Lazuli said trying to find the words.

""What did you do to her?"" Kuni and Shion said.

"I'm guessing your used to seeing people's attacks stop short by an inch
of hitting my brother?" Kara said with my friends nodding.

"Nova's Barrier Skill." Kuni said.

"Yes, well Nova, thanks to his Ethos Trio-"

Hey she remembered me.

"he possesses the ability to manipulate Causality and change the cause
and effect of an action in any way he sees fit." Kara looked at me with a
smile. "The effect of Eclipsis punching/kicking Nova and gathering
energy around her hand would be the release of shockwaves as they
stopped suddenly by an inch and the boost in power of her attack
however my brother changed that. He changed it so the effect was
Eclipsis's arm, hand and leg being blown off."

"As her what happened to her head." Diablo said grinning.

"I made the existence of her head the cause for its own nonexistence." I
interrupted my brother not wanting him to get any attention.

"I know this is a lot to take in, but I'll explain everything you later." I said
to Lazuli, Shion and Kuni as they looked at me stunned. "For now, go to
sleep as I send you somewhere safe."

With a wave of my hand my friends fell fast asleep as they disappeared

through a portal beneath their feet which then closed around them and
disappeared.

"Right where were we?" Diablo said cheerfully.

Ok he's pissing me of now.

Let's rough this prick up.

Don't need to tell me Duo.

"Killing you." I replied. "Release Restriction Levels 5-3."

I felt an enormous amount of power burst from within me as it flowed

through my veins energising me like a caffeinated drink.

I grinned before clapping my hands together.

The result was the instant destruction of the Reality we were currently
in.

I was now in what could only be described as a blueish void with the
pieces of the Reality, looking like shards of glass, floating and crumbling
away into nothingness.

I floated upwards to get a view of my surroundings.

"The Beyond. Always has been my favourite of all the constructs." I

mumbled to myself.

Down below me was an endless row of Realities, each one looking

similar to plasma/static balls contained in glass. Obviously, they
weren't made glass of course but they were a wonder to look at along
with their enormous size that one should expect of a construct that
holds an infinitely growing number of Multiverses, Universes and
Timelines.

The Realities weren't the only things within The Beyond however, as
there were many of what could be described as land masses of sorts
that were similar in size to the Realities.

"Not bad little brother."

I turned round to find Diablo and Kara with the former brushing his
shoulder as if there was dust on it.

Diablo rocketed forward before I could react and slammed a punch into
my stomach that shook the whole of The Beyond.

Pain racked my body as I was sent flying, but I quickly collected myself
and opened a portal which I flew through.

I reappeared behind Diablo and delivered a kick to the back of his head
sending him crashing through multiple Realities before catching Kara's
punch.

I grabbed her face and flew her down through one of the "land masses"
grinding her face against it like grating cheese before throwing her up
into the air. I swung my arms to the side and crimson tendrils made
from Ethos erupted from my arms.

The tendrils took hold of multiple Realities which I smashed into the
recovering Kara creating a massive explosion as the different Realities
collided.

I was then immediately greeted by a black and red beam of energy

which slammed into me, knocking me into a land mass.

As soon as that happened, Diablo was on me and executed a punch

which connected with my chin, dislocating my jaw. Using the
momentum, I grabbed Diablo's head with my left hand and slammed it
:
into the ground of the land mass, destroying half of it before firing a
beam of Solar Magic with the same hand sending him cascading out of
view.

Sensing trouble I whipped round and fired a purple and golden orange
beam of Solar and Lunar magic which connected with Kara's equally
massive gold and white coloured beam.

She roared as the beam doubled in some causing me to leap out the
way into another portal before reappearing beside Kara.

Anticipating this she was already throwing a massive punch, but I had
seen this coming and as soon as it connected the effect was changed so
that a shockwave erupted from me blowing her away and shattering the
closest Realities and land masses.

A massive black and red coloured aura erupted from the distance.

"Diablo." I growled before shooting off in that direction, my purple and

golden orange aura leaving a beam like trail.

Diablo also flew forward, his pupils blacker than before and the red in
his irises seemed to blaze like fire as our fists connected with each
other. The impact was so massive that it cracked The Beyond itself,
revealing the green glow of The Null outside it.

I quickly caught Diablo's next punch and slammed his elbow inwards,
bending his arm at an awkward angle before throwing him through one
of the cracks with all my might.

I then felt myself being suddenly thrown downwards as I was being

dragged towards Kara who had a gold and white vortex within her
hand.

Not being able to move my hands I opened my mouth and a beam of
Solar and Lunar Magic erupted from it as if I was dragon breathing fire
which slammed into her and the Reality behind her, erasing it.

Giving her no time to breathe, and sensing a furious Diablo coming

back from the Null, I teleported behind her with a beam of Solar/Lunar
Magic being charged in my hands.

I released it at point blank range, destroying the surrounding Realities

and land masses, slamming into her back and carrying her upwards
through the crack of The Beyond where she connected with Diablo,
both of them being sent flying as the beam attack got bigger and bigger.

"Ok where are they now."

I closed my eyes and concentrated as I tried to feel their presence,

Ethos and power.

"Gotcha."

I opened portal and stepped through it to then find myself in the most
bizarre place I had ever seen. I was surrounded by a void that never
ended and constantly changed between the colours of red, orange and
yellow. Sometimes turning into a mixture of all three.

"The Chaos Void." I breathed. "Man, that attack blew them straight
through The Null and Genesis and right into the first Delta-Realm. Eh
they deserve it anyway."

Similar to The Beyond there were also land masses of sorts that came in
the form of Reality sized cities, planets etc which doesn't make much
sense since The Chaos Void is a construct that is beyond the very idea
transcendental existences.

Well, it is called The Chaos Void for a reason.

Nothing really makes much sense here.

That's true.

I looked down below and saw it. The Primis Omega. It looked similar to
the planet mars, even though it was incomprehensibly bigger than the
angry red planet, with its twin Omega (The Abyss) next to it being the
same size, but it was a dark red that was almost black unlike its partner.
Dotted around all over the place floated the other Omega's, infinite in
number.

"You'll pay!"

I heard a yell from far for before I heard what sounded like a bomb
going off right in front of me as I saw Diablo's rage fuelled punch be
caught by someone.

The someone was one of the three female Generals of my Shadow

Army, specifically the one with slightly red skin and small horns.

"Back off!" Kara yelled coming into to attack my protector but was
thrown back in a planet sized land mass by an energy beam from the
black-haired girl.

The purple haired girl then sent Diablo crashing down to our sister as
he was thrown into the air by the one who caught his punch.

The three girls then jumped backwards and landed next to me.

The way my Unique Skill: Wraith Army works is that the Shadow
Soldiers tend to reflect their leader/master's power with their own and
the Generals reflecting it even more than the regular soldiers. For my
case this means most of my soldiers average a Demon Rank and my
:
three Generals, being closer to my power than the others, are Omni
Ranks.

The weakest of the three is Andrea, the black-haired girl. The one after
her is Minerva, the purple haired girl with Rei, the girl with horns and
reddish skin, being the strongest in my army.

Diablo and Kara's auras erupted from the land mass in an explosion of
black, red, gold and white. Not only were their faces ravaged by the
expression of rage, but their overall appearance had changed.

Diablo's mouth and teeth were glowing red as the skin on his hands-
forearms and legs were pitch black with his hair turning spiky along
with streaks of red in it. His right eye had also changed. His once red
iris had turned black, and his pupil was no replaced with a crimson
pentagram.

Kara's appearance was almost unrecognisable now. Every inch of her

skin had disintegrated revealing gold and white flesh underneath that
was piercingly bright with the same thing happening to her hair and
eyes. Not only that but her hair was floating up in the air as if it was
underwater.

They had entered their Capere Forms.

"Relying on your soldiers are we." Kara hissed seething with anger.

"Have you gone soft? Did you really get that weak over the past year or
is it both?" Diablo jeered practically shaking with rage.

"His majesty should not have to bother himself with pathetic fools like
you." Andrea said with a grin sweeping her black hair back.

"Compared to him you're almost like ants." Minerva laughed clutching

:
her stomach while floating in the air. Her long purple hair shimmering
as if reflecting her emotions.

"You're not worth to be his opponents." Rei said calmly, taking a step
forward.

Although it did not sound like she was trying to provoke my siblings,
the look in her cat like eyes and the smug look she was trying to hide
failed her façade.

"Andrea and Minerva are around the equal to the two of you while I'm
equal to both your powers combined." Rei continued taking another
step forward. "And my dear master is far stronger than all of us here.
So, explain why he should bother with the two of you?"

Rei grinned revealing perfect white teeth.

Her last comment snapped something within my twin brother, and I felt
his attack coming before it did. I, along with the three girls, quickly
dodged to the side as a what felt like a force of destruction hit the area
where we once stood. The Omega in that area seemed to implode in on
itself along with that overall area of the Delta-Realm.

"I do apologise." Diablo said sarcastically as we regrouped. "This eye of

mine has a mind of its own."

He gestured to his right eye, the red pentagram pulsing.

"Diablo, stop!" Kara said nearly hitting our brother. "Nova I know your
pissed, but we need to talk. The war is getting out of control, there's
this new warrior with the Demoreals called Phoenix and the old man
isn't helping."

I paused for a moment after hearing that.

"My lord, let me dispatch the two of them for you." Rei said getting into
a fighting stance.

"I appreciate the offer Rei." I said putting my hand on her shoulder,
calming her. "But this is family business and I do want to hear more of
what my sister just said in great detail."

I began to approach my siblings who started to relax.

"But I am pissed off at you two, so I'll end this." I said with a smirk and
grabbed the two of them and rocketed through the air smashing
through all the different realms.

I got faster and faster and before long I was smashing through Inner-
Realms and then I finally crossed into the first Outer-Realm, but I didn't
stop there.

I continued going further and deeper into the Chaos Void smashing
through the infinite Hierarchies of Delta-Realms and Inner-Realm in
seconds. Before long those became Outer-Realms I was smashing
through going deeper and deeper.

I passed the 100th Outer-Realm, then 500th, then I smashed through

the 1000th Outer-Realm, I started to smash through a million Outer-
Realms with every passing instant.

I finally stopped at an Outer-Realm whose number was so big, people

didn't have a name for it yet.

I then threw my siblings as hard as I could causing them to crash into

some Reality sized land masses.

Since Diablo used his Ethos Omuni do you want to use mine once more.

The Yin-Yang Eye? It has been a while so sure, why not.

Rei, Minerva and Andrea stepped out of a portal, walking into the battle
scene between their master and his two siblings.

Kara could be spotted charging up a massive energy beam attack while

Diablo seemed to have some kind of swirling black and red energy ball
forming in his hand.

Minerva spotted something that caught her attention.

"Look at his eye." Minerva said, pointing at Nova while jumping up and
down like a child excited for their present.

He was looking up at his two siblings standing completely still. Nova's

right eye started to warp and change as his blue iris and black pupil
merged together, like mixing paints, before swirling around and
morphing into a completely new shape entirely.

"Trio's Omuni." Rei grinned after realising what had happened.

Taking the place of Nova's right iris and pupil was a Yin-Yang symbol.

As soon as his eye finished changing, Diablo and Kara released their
attacks, gunning straight for Nova but as soon as they were half way
there Diablo and Nova instantly switched places with Nova standing
next to his sister and Diablo now facing the attacks head on.

"Shit!" He yelled before his own and Kara's attacks smashed into him
causing an explosion that shook the Outer-Realm.

Kara instantly turned to the side, confused, only to be hit by a huge gut
punch from Nova, sending her flying into a land mass that looked like a
city of some-kind.

Immediately after Diablo rocketed towards Nova, with a fist raised, who
stared right back at him. The Yin-Yang symbol in his eye seemed to
:
tighten and all the blood in Diablo's arm was suddenly separated from
his body, floating outside his arm which now looked shrivelled and
dried up like a raisin.

He yelped in pain before Nova punched him in the face sending him
flying into rocky like land mass the size of a truck before the symbol in
Nova's tightened yet again. Diablo's body instantly seemed to almost
fuse with the land mass, becoming part of it while he yelled out in rage
more than pain.

Diablo continued to roar in pain as the pentagram in his eye pulsed and
glowed leading to a bright light consumed himself and the land mass
momentarily before disappearing leaving a very pissed off (but unfused)
Diablo.

Not giving him time to breathe, Nova smashed into his brother and
began to unload attacks onto his brother, pummelling him but as he
went to throw down another punch Diablo glanced at Nova' arm with
his right eye causing to instantly be destroyed in a small explosion of
red particles.

Nova gritted his teeth and clutched his arm with free hand. Taking
advantage of this break, the bloodied Diablo went in to throw a punch
which only connected with a small piece of land mass that suddenly
replaced Nova. Diablo looked furiously all around him and spotted Nova
a ways off behind him, the arm he destroyed reforming in a matter of
seconds.

Diablo spotted Kara behind Nova and grinned.

"Better keep him distracted." He smirked before throwing his arms and
firing an endless amount of dark crimson blasts at Nova.

Nova grimaced as the symbol in his eye tightened again causing most of
the blasts he saw have their power operated from themselves,
becoming harmless. Nova then also formed two chained blades in his
hands which he spun around slicing the blasts into two like a blender
but all this caused him to be completely off guard as Kara swooped in
from above with a thin blade in her hand. As she passed her brother,
using the blade, she sliced both his eyes open blinding him.

Omuni are the abilities an Ethos has in their eyes. Trio's (and therefore
my own) Omuni is the Yin-Yang Eye which allows me to do such things
as switching places with stuff I see, fuse and separate the forces and
aspects of almost anything as well as increase my thought speed so that
when 1 second in real time passes, 227 seconds have passed in my mind.
Essentially a busted version of Thought Acceleration. Not only this but
all these abilities stay in place even if my eyes have been taken out
though my siblings don't know that since I've always kept that last part
from them.

Still though, I can't exactly see currently and it takes about 30 seconds
for my eyes to regenerate which would give them plenty of time to
attack however there's one more ability which actually allows me to see
again.

"Zero Sight." I mumbled.

Zero Sight is part of the Yin-Yang Eye and is a contingency plan if I

were to ever be blinded like I am now. The Skill sends out invisible
waves which allow me to see all and every kind of energy there is in
existence as well as Ethos, with the waves bouncing off those sources
of energy/Ethos and sending the information back to me as a visual
stimuli in a way similar to echolocation.

I could feel siblings circling around me making it hard to pin point their
exact location.

Wait! Kara's signature has disappeared but Diablo's is still circling me

like a super fast shark. Oh. what's that? Huh? Seems like Kara's got an
energy orb forming just behind her, no doubt to be fired at me.

I started to charge a beam attack between my hands.

Diablo is circling faster so they plan to unleash their attacks on me at

the same time with most likely a punch from Diablo and this energy orb
from Kara. You think this'll work since you think I'm blinded.

I felt Diablo suddenly gun straight for me with Kara raising her hand to
fire her blast.

Well spoilers, I can still see you.

As soon as Diablo's punch was about to land I switched places with Kara
with my eyes fully healed at that same time. I watched below me as
Diablo's punch knock Kara's jaw clean off and her blast blow a hole in
his chest.

"Idiots." I laughed and released my beam attack with the giant crimson
laser smashing into them.

The impact was so intense it cracked the very fabric of the Outer-
Realm exposing the previous Outer-Realm below us and the infinite
Hierarchy of Delta-Realms above us.

The explosion disintegrated my siblings momentarily but they quickly

regenerated back into their Capere Forms just as I burst out laughing at
how easy this was.

That set the two of them off again and they both rocketed back towards
:
me and threw two massive punches but that was their biggest mistake
as I had already started to manipulate to the cause and effect of this
occurrence.

As soon as the punches connected, a shockwave was released from my

body that was so massive and catastrophic it completely erased the
Outer-Realm we were in, with all the Inner-Realms and Delta-Realms it
contained, along with my siblings. Just before that happened I sensed
my Generals disappear to the first Delta-Realm in order to escape the
blast unscathed.

I then snapped my fingers and the Outer-Realm that had been

destroyed recreated itself as if nothing had happened.

"Replace Restriction Levels 5-3" I said and felt my power be suppressed.

My siblings have gotten stronger. I never needed to go up to 50% in

order to beat them before, good on them

As I deactivated the Yin-Yang Eye and return to my base state, I

teleported back to the first Delta-Realm with all the infinite Omegas,
coming face to face with my Generals who all gazed upon me with
expressions of love, admiration, etc.

"You three still know where the Cosmos family home is correct?"

They nodded.

"Good, go to it. I'll follow you shortly."

At that they bowed before disappearing.

Did you really have to erase your siblings?

I sniggered slightly.
:
Calm down Trio, you know as well as I do Kara is immortal and Diablo
will be resurrected. You also know that if I wanted them dead, I could
have killed them both permanently and I don't want them DEAD, dead…
at least, I did before but Kara said about the Demoreals interested me
so it's better I don't kill them yet regardless of how much I want to.

There's the cold Nova we know.

Thanks for the show kid.

"You did say you wanted some fun Duo." I said to myself before opening
a portal and stepping through it.

I woke to find myself in an incredibly comfy bed in a pristine white

room that had two other beds with one being occupied by Kuni who
was sleeping and the other one which was presumably meant for Shion
though it was empty.

There was a window on the wall and just after stretching my arms and
legs I got up and went to go look to get any idea where I might be.

"What am I… looking at here?" I said as I looked outside the window.

Note: What you are currently seeing is The Beyond.

Holy!! Stella, you scared me.

I apologise.

Nah it's ok but it seems like Nova transported us to some kind of…
structure? Building? In The Beyond… oh right Nova he's…

I walked out of the room to wonder into what looked like a great
hallway that seemed like something out of a castle you see in fantasy
movies.

It's a bit dark though. Stella, could I create a light source or something?

Thanks to your evolution Awakened Ethereal that is now within your

capabilities yes.

I created a little ball of blue and red light that floated just above my
hand as I walked down the hallway.

"Nova is the one and only Nova Cosmos. The Yin-Yang King, son of Viro
Cosmos. It makes so much sense now that I look back on everything. He
clearly has some kinda of beef with his family otherwise he wouldn't
have disappeared when Diablo took out Carrion and try to keep away
from them overall." I muttered to myself, not realising I walked into a
very grand looking library that was lit by candles. "The whole "I want to
keep a low profile" makes sense and it explains why he is so strong for a
Lion Rank and why he's an Awakened Ethereal as well. But why is he
exactly beefing with his siblings and where is their father, Viro. Also,
how exactly strong-"

"How strong is Nova? Been asking that question myself." Shion said at
one of the tables within the library. She had a range of books laid out
and was entirely focused on them.

"Aagh!" I yelped at Shion's sudden appearance. "Don't just announce

yourself like that."

"Mm." She murmured in response; her eyes fixated on the books. "I've
got a question actually, sit down."

With nothing better to do I sat on the other end of the table, so I was
facing Shion before she looked up at me with her gradient red eyes.

"What's this whole Awakened Ethereal, evolution stuff I'm hearing

about. Nova briefly mentioned it before he put us all to sleep and just

now you mentioned it. Mind telling me what it is?"

Shion had friendly but also very insistent look in her eyes like she would
get mad if I didn't tell her.

"Ok but it's a lot so strap in."

I explained everything that Stella and Nova had told me. What
Awakened Ethereals are, the power of being one, the ability to control
Ethos itself as its own separate power, sentient Ethos, what other
abilities you gain from becoming an Awakened Ethereal along with all
the other constructs/structures that are outside and transcend The
Null as well as the Celestial Ethos.

After I had finished Shion was quiet for a minute as she processed
everything.

"So, your little berserk rampage was your evolution process. As an

Awakened Ethereal guess that makes you stronger than me. What Rank
are you now anyway?"

I looked at my status.

Name: Lazuli Titana

Class: Tanker

Rank: Demon

"Looks like I'm now the seventh Demon Rank now."

I can imagine this is quite a lot to handle for Shion, I mean I was already
aware of sentient Ethos but being told that AND all the other things
outside The Null must be a lot.

"That is very interesting. Wonder if I can find out more in these books?"

Shion said a moment later looking between two books.

HOW CAN YOU JUST ACT SO CALMYLY AFTER BEING TOLD ALL
THAT!?

"What are you actually looking for anyway." I said feeling deflated.

"Since we're in what I presume is the Cosmos Family home I feel like
there might be some kind of record of his power growth or something
similar."

*knock* *knock*

We turned to see Kara Cosmos herself standing a few feet away from us
knocking on one of the bookshelves.

"If you want to know about my brother's power, I'll happily ask some
questions." She said sweetly, pulling up a chair.

Me and Shion looked at each other before shrugging our shoulders and
turning back to face Kara. Looking at her now fully conscious and aware
I just realised how stunning she looked. Long flowing red hair with blue
eyes and pale smooth skin along with an incredible body.

Blue eyes.

They're exactly the same as Nova's.

The memory of when I pressed myself up against Nova popped into my

head causing me to redden a little and whatever question I had
disappeared from my mind leading to Shion ask first.

"How strong are you all exactly in order of weakest to strongest and are
you an Awakened Ethereal?" Shion said not skipping a beat looking
directly into her eyes.

Shion! We should probably show Kara some respect since we don't
want to piss her off. I did just tell Shion how I've gotten a major power
boost though so that may have gone to her head? The boost of being
"Awakened" has lent me power that is most likely capable of effecting
The Beyond and maybe destroying a few Realities but the power I can
sense coming from Kara is insane. I'm thinking Chaos Void type level
strength.

Your assumption is correct Lazuli. It's highly likely she transcends and
can effect/destroy many of the Outer-Realms within the Chaos Void.

Then we're still like works of fiction to her, definitely don't want to piss
her off.

Kara smiled at Shion's question.

"You're an interesting one." She murmured. "Well to answer that last

part, yes. All of the Cosmos's, minus my mother, are Awakened
Ethereals from dear old Dad to his children."

"And the first part?" Shion urged.

"To give you an idea all three of us transcend the very concepts of
Space-Time itself. This means, for example, we aren't bound by time, so
we don't age, in fact we age at our own pace. How old do you think I
am?"

I squinted think this was a trick question.

"Are you 19?" I wondered.

"Nope." She said. "19 is the age when I transcended the concepts of
Space-Time, I'm actually 85 years old."

"No way." I said and then was astonished at the audacity Shion had as

she pulled out a notebook and pencil and began writing.

"Lazuli, right?" Kara said leading me to face her.

"That's me."

"You've recently become an Awakened Ethereal, well that means you

also have transcended the concepts of Space-Time."

I've done what now? STELLA!

It should be obvious. If you have to power that can significantly affect

The Beyond which is a construct that is above the concepts of Space-
Time as well, it's only natural you would also transcend those concepts
as well.

When you put it like that, I guess that was a little dumb of me.

"So, who's the strongest and who's the weakest?" Shion said furiously
writing in her notebook.

"Diablo and I are both stronger than each other. I'd say when it comes
to skill and strategy, I'm far superior but if we're talking about raw
power then Diablo definitely rakes the cake. Nova however is far above
the two of us and is on the same level as the old man."

"When you say old man do you mean-" I said in a slightly high-pitched
voice.

"Viro, my father? Yes." Kara nodded.

"What about Nova's actual abilities?" I blurted out, the thought just
coming to mind.

Kara grinned.

"Well do you want to see his status first or the abilities he gained as an
:
Awakened Ethereal?"

"Status." Shion nodded.

Kara's hand seemed to disappear in a small portal which she then

pulled a book out of. Its title was Records of the Cosmos's.

"Turn to page 54 and you'll find his status." She said giving Shion the
books and looked over to read to the contents.

I raised my eyebrows as I gazed on the book's content.

"That's a lot more intimidating than when he showed us his fake status."
I said to myself. "He's an Omni Rank as well!?"
