- International business (kinh doanh quốc tế): the study of transactions taking place across
national borders for the purpose of satisfying the needs of individuals and organizations
o Export: goods/services produced by a firm in one country and sent to another country
o Import: goods/services produced by a firm in one country and bought in by another
country
o Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) (đầu tư trực tiếp): purchase of physical assets or a
significant amount of the ownership of a company in another country to gain a measure
of management control
- International trade (thương mại quốc tế): the purchase, sale or exchange of goods and
services across national border
- Joint Ventured Company/Enterprise (JVC/JVE) (công ty liên doanh): at least 2 parties
involved, including local partner and foreign partner
- Economic globalization (toàn cầu hoá kinh tế): the growing interdependence of locations
and economic actors across countries and regions
- Institutions (thể chế): sets of common habits, routines, established practices, rules or laws
that regulate the interaction between individuals and groups
- Global value chains (GVCs)
- Global production networks (GPNs)
