SEMI- DETAILED LESSON PLAN

Objectives:

At the end of the lesson, the students should able to;

a. Identify common unintentional injuries.

b.Appreciate the importance of first aid kit

c. Demonstrate the proper first aid

Topic: First Aid for injuries and emergency situation

Materials: Visual aids, laptop, printed pictures

Teaching Procedures

A. Preparatory Activities

2. Motivation

Group activity " Heal me, fix me"

At this moment I will group you into 3 groups, So I have here some envelope containing varied cut of pictures. For each group you have to fix or form and paste it in board.

I will give only 2 minutes in each group in order to complete the task.

B. Presentation:

FIrst Aid- it is refer to medical attention that usually administered immediately after injury occurs an that the location where it covered.

It covers the step taken to help a person in the first minutes og illness or injury. Accidents pr illness can happe anytme, wherether at home, at work, or at school. Fisrt aid may ease someones pain or discomport.

This are the varied injuries that might be ncountered in any physical activity.

SPRAIN - is an injury to the ligaments if the bone due to accidental or over stretching.

Sprain caused by stretching the ligaments can tear partway or all the way, ligaments are tough, elastic like bands that connect bone to bone.

CRAMPS- are sudden, involuntary contraction that occurs in varois muscles.

When muscles cramps occur, when the person may feel a sudden tightening in the muscles. It may feelas though they have flexed their muscles, even if they are otherwise relaxed.

HEAT EXHAUSTION- t caused by loss of salt and water due to excessively high tempereture. This may lead to heat stroke or even death.

So, heat exhaustion is a condition that happens when your body overheat. Symptoms may include heavy sweating and a rapid pulse. Heat exhaustion is one of three heat related illness, with heat cramps being the mildest and
heatstroke being the most serious.

The students will be assigned in 3 groups to make a scenario to create a role playi by applying the first aid for given injury.
