Objective
The midterm performance exam aims to assess students' technical, artistic, and teamwork skills in ballroom
dancing, focusing on physical fitness, coordination, and choreography.
Performance Requirements
1. Dance Routine:
• Create a team ballroom routine.
• Couples should be male and female.
• Other categories include all female or all male.
• Include at least one or two dance styles, such as Chachacha, Rumba or Jive
• Demonstrate syllabus figures as per the WDSF Syllabus Book.
• All presentations, whether in pairs or solo, will be made via video.
• The team's ballroom dance presentation should only be filmed on the school campus.
2. Teamwork:
• Synchronization with team members is essential.
• Proper lead-and-follow dynamics must be demonstrated.
3. Technical Execution:
• Adherence to correct posture, footwork, and rhythm.
• Smooth transitions between movements.
4. Artistic Expression:
• Display creativity in choreography.
• Use facial expressions and body language to convey the mood of the dance.
5. Music Selection:
• Music must match the tempo and style of the chosen dances.
• Teams may use pre-recorded tracks or live accompaniment.
6. Attire:
• Wear appropriate dance attire depends on the concept, or wear Sundays best.
• Ensure grooming aligns with professional standards.
