BASIC OPERATION GUIDE

INTRODUCTION
Thank you for acquiring the Digital Pen for use with DT Research
tablets to capture handwri�en notes and drawings. The Digital Pen
is an ac�ve pen based on capaci�ve-coupled sensing technology
for use on capaci�ve touch screens. Designed for ease of use, the
Digital Pen provides an enhanced user experience to increase work
efficiency and enables a natural handwri�ng style.

2. One AAAA ba�ery (inside Pen)
3. One Pen Clip

The Digital Pen

• Pen Bu�on
Pen Button Quick access to the right-click menu: Press and hold
the bu�on, touch the screen with the Pen �p and
release the bu�on to bring up the right-click menu.
Eraser Button • Eraser Bu�on
Works as eraser to delete markings made with
Digital Pen on the screen.
• Pen Tip
Pressure-sensi�ve �p allows natural handwri�ng
and drawing. Combined with apps that support pen
Pen Tip pressure, the Digital Pen works like a real pen.
Digital Pen

Power On/Off
Click the Pen Bu�on to turn the Digital Pen on. A�er two minutes without using the pen, the pen
will automa�cally power off.

Using the Pen Clip


• A�ach the Pen Clip to the rubber • Push and insert the Digital Pen into the Pen Clip from
handstrap on the back of your tablet. the le� or right side. Or, directly press the Digital Pen
into the Pen Clip from the top.

NOTE: Do not place the Digital Pen with the bu�ons facing inside the Pen Clip, as this might
damage the bu�ons

Using the Digital Pen with the Tablet


The Digital Pen is designed to work with your tablet automa�cally. Bluetooth or Wi-Fi connec�on is
not required. The Pen works once it is close to the touch screen.

NOTE: While using the Digital Pen, the screen will not work with the finger touch.

Ba�ery Replacement
• Unscrew the top cap of the Digital Pen. • Remove the ba�ery, and then replace with a new
AAAA ba�ery.

Product Care
Read the instruc�ons carefully. Failure to follow the instruc�ons could result in damage to the
Digital Pen and voiding its warranty.
1. Only use the Digital Pen in accordance with the opera�on guide.
2. Do not a�empt to open or disassemble the Digital Pen (except to change the ba�ery) as this
will void the warranty.
3. Do not expose the Digital Pen to extreme temperatures or direct sunlight.
4. If there is any damage or broken parts, do not con�nue to use the product. Consult the
provider if the device needs repair.
5. Clean with a dry cloth. Do not use water, soap, detergent or other chemicals.
