Fuel tank pressure control valve is used to main-
tain constant tank pressure. When the fuel tank
pressure is E and reaches specified value, this
valve opens to make the vapor flow into the car-
bon canister. On the contrary, when the tank pres-
sure is negative and reaches its specified value,
open the valve so that air could go into the tank.

ture coefficient (NTC) resistor. ECM calculates
coolant temperature by voltage drop of water tem-
perature sensor. The signal of water temperature
sensor is supplied to ECM to control cooling fan
motor and to judge fuel and ignition according to
engine status. Water temperature sensor output
also offers input signal to instrument panel ther-
mometer.

Fuel injector
Fuel injector is installed on the cylinder head, it
follows the ECM instruction to inject fuel within
the stipulated time, ECM controls the injector
ground signal. The injector is solenoid-controlled,
the fuel injection quantity depends on the needle
valve opening time which is the pulse width of the

The ignition coil of 1st cylinder and 4th cylinder is
located on the upper part of the 4th cylinder spark
hole, the ignition coil of 2nd cylinder and 3rd cylin-

Ignition coil transforms the low voltage of primary
winding into secondary winding high voltage,
spark discharge through the spark plug, igniting
the mixture of air and fuel within the cylinder.
A3113015 ECM controls the ignition coil primary coil to

Vehicle speed sensor
Speed sensor is installed on the transmission, the
speed sensor is Hall-style, the working power is
applied by the ECM controlled main relay, when
the vehicle is driving, the sensor outputs rectan-

Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor
APP
The accelerator pedal position sensor has an
internal damping design and contains two identi-
cal potentiometric sensors. The signal pointer of
the sensor shares the same axle with the pedal.
When the pedal is depressed, the potentiometer
pointer rotates with the pedal coaxially and with
the sliding of the pointer, the signal terminal out-
puts different voltage signals. To prevent signal
distortion due to engine voltage fluctuations, a A3113020
